Lukman Avaran, better known as Lukman Lukku, is a Malayali actor who has worked in the entertainment industry since 2011 and has featured in over 20 films.
Avaran attended a private high school while growing up in Kerala. He later graduated with a bachelor's degree in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation from the Royal College of Engineering and Technology.
He developed an early interest in acting and made his screen debut in the 2011 film Khondo Golpo 1971 (2011). His supporting performances in films like Unda (2019) andChuruli (2021) helped him gain attention in the Malayali film industry. He went on to portray the main character in the movie Ajagajantharam (2021) in 2021.
Avaran has worked in several movies and series since, such as Dayom Panthrandum (2014), KL 10 Patthu (2015), Hadiyya (2017), Godha (2017), French Viplavam (2018), Sudani from Nigeria (2018), Kakshi: Amminippilla (2019), Virus (2019), No Man's Land (2021), Operation Java (2021), Anugraheethan Antony (2021), Theerppu (2022), Thallumaala (2022), Naradan (2022), andAaraattu (2022).
His film Saudi Vellakka (2022) premiered at the 53rd IFFI in Goa in November 2022.
Besides acting, Avaran also worked as a cinematographer for the English film From Freetown TL in 2016.
