Erika Orlandini grew up in Castiglioncello, a town near Livorno, Italy.
She attended the University of Pisa and studied "Foreign languages and literatures" and "Modern American and European Languages and Literatures" (Master's Degree).
She later attended a Professional Master's Programme (one year of postgraduate specialization) in Translation from English into Italian.
She speaks English, French, German, and Spanish.
