Preethi Christina Paul is an Indian Actress who has been active in the Tamil films since 2013. She is a Social Worker, Entrepreneur, Model, and Actress based in Melbourne Australia.
Early Life: Preethi Christina Paul was born to Malayalam film director Paul Babu and primary school teacher Nancy Cecilia Paul at Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. She completed her schooling in Kerala at Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara and after school, she studied Diploma in Community Welfare Work in Australia and later on completed her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the Australian Institute of Education and Technology.
Although born in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, she grew up in Kochi, Kerala. Born to a father who was a prominent Film Director in the 90s, Preethi was mesmerized by the world of cinema and was ever more attracted to it as she grew up. While films defined her dream career, she also excelled as an Indian Classical Dancer in Bharatanatyam since the age of 6. Her music instrument of choice is Veena and was a student of this art from an early age. Although she has her roots in the Art and Creative World, she was also a national-level basketball player representing Bhavans Vidya Mandir at the State and National levels.
After school, she moved to Melbourne, Australia for her higher studies, while also pursuing her career in Film and Modelling.
Movie/Modelling Career: She made her debut in the 2013 Tamil film Chennaiyil Oru Naal, then acted in Serndhu Polama as a co-lead opposite Vinay Rai in 2015, followed by Katha Solla Porom and as a lead in Appa opposite Samuthirakani in 2016. Before entering the film industry, she started her career off as a ramp model for Toni & Guy in Australia, modeling for Allen Solly, Joyalukkas, Manish Malhotra, Mercedes-Benz, and Nakshathra Diamonds.
Preethi's introduction into the world of Film and Modeling was when she started to appear in pageant contests at the age of 15 where she was the semi-finalist at the Navy-Queen, later on, became the face-of-the-week in Malayala Manorama, and won the 2010 Miss Kerala - Miss Perfect 10.
Business/Entrepreneurship: While an artist at heart, she is an avid contributor to the community which motivated her to pursue her study and career in Social Work and Community Services. After completing her Diploma in Community Welfare Work and her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the Australian Institute of Education and Technology, she worked as a Social Worker for many years working her way from a Support Worker to the Management Tier, then to Corporate leadership as the Area Business Manager to eventually founding and establishing her own company that provides Disability Services in Victoria, Australia.
