It’s hard to imagine iconic duos with their other half. What’s Abbott without Costello? Mac without cheese? Hall without Oates? Well, John Oates is looking to show you just what that might be, announcing a new album titled “Reunion” – quite ironic considering there will never be another one between him and Daryl Hall, the pop duo behind “Private Eyes” and “Maneater”, with Oates now saying the only person he’s going to reunite with is himself.

As John Oates told Rolling Stone, “I’ve been trying to rediscover who I am as an individual, both personally and on the professional and creative side. I realized there was a deeper and more nuanced meaning to ‘reunion.’” This rediscovery comes not long after news broke that Daryl Hall was seeking to sue John Oates over the latter attempting to sell his share in their collaborations, putting a nail in a rather storied partnership and career.

John Oates has lost that loving feeling for Hall & Oates. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the artist said he has “moved on” from his longtime duo with Daryl Hall.

When asked about a lawsuit filed by Hall last year, Oates called it a “very boring business issue” and said he had already felt the desire to focus on his solo career anyway. “As far as I’m concerned, I’ve moved on,” he told Rolling Stone. “I feel like I have a new lease on my creative life.”

It’s February 2024, and we’ve got another The Walking Dead spinoff series, which, by now, has become the norm. But this one, titled The Ones Who Live, is special because it has the Goat The Walking Dead character at the center of it. Whether you’ve ever watched, played, or read The Walking Dead or not, if you’re into pop culture, then you’ve certainly heard of this one guy: Rick Grimes. Clearly the biggest name about the whole franchise, the character has already been immortalized on screen by British actor Andrew Lincoln—yes, the same guy from the once iconic Love Actually.

One of the biggest issues of the franchise in the later years was the fatigue of the audience, which was further felt when Lincoln left the mother show. Many stopped following it, including Lincoln himself, who has admitted that he didn’t keep up with Twd after his characters’ exit.

Oh-oh here he comes. John Oates, who topped the charts with Daryl Hall in the ‘70s and ‘80s, says he is officially moving on from his once-partner, signaling an official end to the duo. Oates’ comments come amid the legal battle with Hall over the former trying to sell his music rights.

Speaking on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast (via Variety), Oates said that while he is proud of his work with Hall, now that the two have major legal troubles between them and they haven’t released an album in seven years, it’s time to look at what’s in front of him. “I don’t like to live in the past… I make the analogy of what it’s like when you go to a great museum and you’re really excited to go and see all the beautiful paintings or the exhibits or whatever it might be,...

John Oates is speaking out amid his ongoing legal battle with bandmate Daryl Hall, saying he has “moved on” from the experience.

Hall sued Oates last month over Oates’ plan to sell his share of their joint venture Whole Oats Enterprises to Primary Wave Music without the other’s permission. Hall was granted a temporary restraining order against Oates as legal proceedings continue.

“You can’t ignore the fact that the Hall & Oates catalog of hits and the 50-year career will always trump almost anything that Daryl does on his own or I do on my own, which is okay because I’m very proud of that music,” Oates said recently on David Yontef’s Behind the Velvet Rope podcast. “I’m really proud of what Daryl and I created together. I think we made music that will stand the test of time.”

He continued, “I don’t like to live in the past.

In the mid-2000s, Bob Garrett was invited backstage at a Daryl Hall and John Oates concert in Southern California. Garrett, whose credits include working on Broadway shows like The Color Purple and Sing! and writing songs recorded by Tina Turner, Heart, and others, remembers how he and his creative partner at the time, Christian Taylor, were greeted. “Daryl said, ‘We’ve been waiting for you,’” Garrett recalls. “They really wanted to do a Broadway show.”

A new report has revealed that Daryl aimed to block John from selling his share of their joint venture, arguing that it would violate the terms of a business agreement, per the Associated Press.

The lawsuit seeks to prevent John, his co-trustees Richard Flynn and John‘s wife Aimee Oates, from selling Daryl‘s part in Whole Oats Enterprises to Primary Wave Music.

For better or worse, “The Walking Dead” TV world continues to grow. The latest spin-off series aiming to keep the undead dream alive is “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” premiering Sunday, Sept. 10, on AMC and AMC+. Tightly packed in a polished and engaging six episodes, it seems that Scott Gimple’s universe has finally delivered a follow-up worth a pound of flesh.

We are fast approaching the premiere of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon on AMC.

The latest chapter of Daryl's story begins Sunday, September 10 at 9 p.m. Et/Pt on AMC and AMC+.

The previous footage has showcased Norman Reedus' weatherbeaten character as he navigates a new sandbox.

Now, AMC has dropped the key art for the forthcoming spinoff, and it's as picturesque as you'd expect from a show set in France.

Reedus is front and center in a post-apocalyptic wasteland with the Eiffel Tower in the background for good measure.

Truthfully, the color tone reminds me of Fear the Walking Dead Season 7, which put radiation at the center of the storytelling.

Hopefully, Twd: Daryl Dixon is a cut above that.

Variety has exclusively obtained new key art for “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.”

The spinoff series starring Norman Reedus will officially debut on Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. Et/Pt on the linear network and its streaming counterpart. It was announced at San Diego Comic-Con that the show has already been renewed for Season 2.

Those who are looking to revisit the first four seasons of The Walking Dead in a brand-new way will want to keep an eye on GameMill Entertainment and AMC’s newly-announced game, The Walking Dead: Destinies. Currently in development for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, the Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch, Destinies is a third-person narrative-driven action-adventure game that sees you take on the role of Rick Grimes, but will give players the ability to “weave your own path through series’ events”.

According to IGN, in what seems like a mix of the AMC series and the multiple choice mechanic from Telltale’s The Walking Dead, players will visit key locations from the show as Grimes. At certain points during your play, you will be asked to make choices that will potentially determine who lives and who dies, thereby altering the following events and straying from the show’s storyline.

You can’t keep Daryl Dixon down. After stealing the spotlight for eleven seasons on The Walking Dead, Daryl Dixon finally takes the leading role in his very own spin-off series. AMC has released a new teaser trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which begins to unravel the character’s journey to France.

Like a fish out of water, Daryl Dixon finds himself in an entirely new country filled with new faces and new walkers. The Daryl Dixon teaser singles out one walker in particular, who seems to be wearing a Hannibal Lector-esque mask with a tranquillizer dart to the neck for good measure.

Actress Clémence Poésy revealed new details about her character in the upcoming AMC Networks spinoff “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.”

The “Harry Potter” actress plays Isabelle, whom she describes as a nun on a “specific kind of mission.”

“She’s part of a resistance network called the Union of Hope, bringing in people from lots of different faiths,” Poésy explains in a behind the scenes clip posted to Twitter. “And they’re trying to regain some kind of faith in the possibility that humanity will get out of this test that they’re believing it’s enduring.”

AMC Networks dropped a new teaser for “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” which is slated to premiere on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 9 p.m. Et/Pt and stream on AMC+.

As he makes the journey, though, his plans are complicated by the people he meets along the way.

The series already received a renewal for a second season at San Diego Comic Con.

“The Walking Dead’s” three spinoff series will not be impacted by the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. AMC Networks CEO Kristin Dolan confirmed the series will be released as planned during the company’s second quarter earnings call.

“We completed production of these three ‘Walking Dead’ extensions before the recent Screen Actors Guild strike and work stoppage,” Dolan said. “Let me just take a moment to address both the current SAG and WGA strikes. We greatly value the work of our creative partners and hope these disputes can be resolved as quickly and as fairly as possible.”

Dolan also noted that “in the short term,” AMC Networks has enough scripted series in the pipeline that the company will be able to continue to offer new content “for the remainder of this year and well into 2024.”

Negan has defied the odds countless times throughout his time in The Walking Dead universe.

Things took a wild turn on The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 1 Episode 6 when we learned that The Dama had been calling the shots and wanted Jeffrey Dean Morgan's alter ego to help her run New York.

She had heard how Negan killed Glen, which forever changed Maggie and Hershel's lives.

In one of the most chilling scenes in franchise history, the Dama revealed she had stolen one of Hershel's limbs and could go back for more if Negan didn't help her cause.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has released the official trailer for its first season, which premieres Sunday, September 10 at 9 Pm Et/Pt on AMC and AMC+.

The first ten minutes of the series premiere episode will be available exclusively on AMC+ beginning Saturday, July 22. Norman Reedus reprises his role as Darryl Dixon from the original Walking Dead series. Also aboard are Clemence Poesy and Adam Nagaitis as new characters.

On Friday, fans of the franchise got their biggest glimpse yet of the Paris-set spinoff during San Diego Comic-Con.

Because the cast and crew were unable to make the event due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, the cable network gave fans the official trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1.

While there have been many complaints about how Daryl (Norman Reedus) managed to make it to France after the conclusion of The Walking Dead Season 11, the trailer does deliver plenty of things the franchise has never seen.

The Walking Dead: Dead City has been great because it took us to a new location with a scaled-back cast.
