John Legend and Linda Perry collaborated on a new pro-voting song, “Get Up and Vote,” as part of a new social media campaign ahead of the midterm elections. The songwriters posted solo renditions of the brief jingle on social media, encouraging artists and fans alike to record their own takes.

5 Seconds of Summer put the old-school machismo of Japan’s Rockabilly culture at the center of their new video for “Youngblood.” The anachronistic clip follows a gang of Fonz lookalikes through Tokyo. They smoke cigarettes and sport shellacked pompadours. Strutting to the propulsive beat, the gang take over a main square, West Side Story-style, pouting at their female Rockabilly counterparts in polka-dot dresses.

The concept for the video came from director Frank Borin (Angel Haze, The Script, Tinashe), who became fascinated by the country’s improbable rockabilly scene during a previous trip to Japan.

For weeks, Angel Haze has been teasing a new project named Back to the Woods, the first collection of new music since their self-released 2013 debut Dirty Gold. Today Haze has released the full project (reportedly not their sophomore album), via Billboard, which you can stream in full below. It's fraught with emotional distress, stemming from what Haze describes as an overwhelming period of loss for both those around them and themselves — Haze's mother and sister (not to mention Haze's breakup with Ireland Baldwin). Every year the folks over at GLAAD seek to honor media figures for fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the Lgbt community and the 26th Annual GLAAD Media Awards just unveiled the nominees.

GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis told E! News, "For nearly 30 years, the GLAAD Media Awards have raised the bar for inclusion in news and entertainment, transforming Lgbt representation in media and moving the dial for acceptance across the globe. It's been a remarkable year for equality, and nowhere is that more evident than in the visibility Lgbt people have gained across media.”

“This year's nominees, including expanded categories in Outstanding Comedy and Drama Series, reflect the widening diversity of Lgbt images and storylines that are closing the gap to full acceptance." The 26th Annual GLAAD Awards will go live on March 21st. And the nominees are:

For the awards show, Haze wore black leather pants and a dark green jersey tunic under a black blazer. Baldwin, a model, dressed to match in a plunging black dress with red heels.

Haze was nominated for Best Video with a Social Message for “Battle Cry,” which features Sia. However, she ended up losing out to Beyoncé’s “Pretty Hurts.” Despite the loss, Haze was happy to have Baldwin, daughter of actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, by her side.

MTV announced the nominees on Thursday with Beyoncé earning eight nominations – the most of any artist this year. Beyoncé’s sexy video “Partition” is nominated for Best Female Video and Best Choreography, while “Pretty Hurts” is nominated for Best Video with a Social Message, Best Editing, Best Cinematography and Best Direction. The 2014 Bet Awards were broadcast live from the Nokia Theater at La Live in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night, and comedian Chris Rock dominated in his role as host.

Hip-hop artist Drake and the power couple Beyonce and Jay Z started the evening with five nominations each. However, the night seemed to be kindest to one Happy singer in particular.

While chatting with The Independent, the 22-year-old Detroit native revealed that she is, indeed, dating Alec’s daughter.

Haze, who is scheduled to perform at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival, got candid about her relationship with Baldwin with The Independent. To Haze, it’s been a strange phenomenon to see how the media has shied away from labeling the two as girlfriends – instead referring to them as best friends and gal pals.
