Dragos Onisei is an actor, known for Ho Ho Ho 2: O loterie de familie
(2012) film produced by MediaPro Pictures, the largest film and TV
Production Company in Romania and "Jocul" (The Game) (2012) in which he
plays the leading role of Dragos Voicu.
Dragos was born on the 16th of May 1988 in Bucharest, Romania.
Dragos has one brother Lucian-Alexandru and two sisters Silviana and Ana-Bianca.
Dragos took dance classes under the guidance of choreographers Flori and Costi Mihaiu for nine years.
After finishing the Primary School of Music in Bucharest, he entered to "George Enescu" Musical High School and later to the National University of Music from Bucharest where he studied marimba, drums and piano. In 2010 he was admitted to the Faculty of Arts, Department of Drama, from the Hyperion University of Bucharest under the guidance of the famous actors Mircea Anca and Sebastian Papaiani. At the present he is following the Master of Movie Directing under the guidance of Professor and Director Ioan Carmazan.
Dragos Onisei was fascinated by the United States of America and their culture after being part of the project Work and Travel in three different years. In 2010 and 2011 in New Jersey and Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts in 2013.
In 2009 while he still was a student at the National University of Music Bucharest, he played a small role as "The drummer" in the movie Le Concert, next to Mélanie Laurent who in the same year was playing in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. The movie was directed by Radu Mihaileanu. This role was Dragos' debut in the acting world and his inspiration to seek for a career in the field. "I would never quit being an actor, no matter how difficult it may be", he said. During college he played in several short films and medium films like "Uncaught Thief" (silent film) and "7 fix "as leading role. His career grew when in 2010 Dragos became the image of LG Optimus after a worldwide casting. The commercial was made in Hong Kong, London and Paris and it was directed by one of the greatest directors of RSA Films, Sir Price James. Dragos lately said about this experience: "I had the great honor and privilege to work with the Company that has Mr. Martin Scorsese as one of directors and Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey just finished there a commercial for Dolce&Gabbana". In 2012 he gave life to Dragos Voicu in the movie "Jocul" (The Game), directed by Olimpia S. Mustata. The film tells the love story between two young people trying to find their own identity. He played along great masters of Romanian Cinema such as Eusebiu Stefanescu and Ioan Carmazan"
Immediately after the movie "Jocul"(The Game) started in the cinemas he received the role Bogdan in the Movie Ho Ho Ho 2: O loterie de familie. Writen by Collin Blair and Gabriela Ceuta, Directed by Jesús Del Cerro and produced by Media Pro. Dragos worked with Dragos Bucur, Andreea Marin, Patricia Poslusnic, Dana Rogoz and Anca Turcasiu. In 2013 he started shooting the movie "Night of the spirits " directed by Olimpia S. Mustata where he has the leading role of Adam Edwin, an American scientist , age 27, who comes to Romania on an business trip and he becomes a victim of the supernatural forces.
The first TV appearance was in 2008, when he received a minor role in the TV series Die Deutschen. During college, Dragos was invited to the show "Quarter adolescents" presented by Alina Crisan, at Top 1 TV. After the interview, the producer Daniela Scoica proposed to Dragos a collaboration with the television, giving him the post of assistant in the show named "Talent Show". Later in 2011 Dragos becomes The Host of the Live TV Show "New Times".
The collaboration lasted a year, ending in 2012.
