Sarah Nevada has been nominated as Best Actress by the German Film Critics' Association for her lead role in "Grand Jeté" from director Isabelle Stever, which premiered at the 2022 Berlin International Film Festival and has played in cinemas worldwide. "Grand Jeté" is available on VOD by the US distributor Altered Innocence.
Sarah Nevada is U.S.American, fluent in German and based in Berlin, New York and Los Angeles. She received her dance education in California, USA, and the National Ballet School in Hamburg, Germany under the direction of John Neumeier.
From 2001-2006 she was engaged as a solo/group dancer at the Stuttgart Ballet, working with directors such as John Neumeier, Christian Spuck, Hans von Mannen and Wayne McGregor. She is the founder of "wake-shops", a curriculum combining dance, yoga and physical theater. She works internationally as a freelance actress, dancer and choreographer, since 2008 landing lead roles such as Lilly in the feature film, "The Lost" by film director Reynold Reynolds. Throughout her career she has further worked alongside prestigious dance, theater and film directors such as Isabelle Stever, Marco Carniti, Patrick King, Michel Comte, Reynold Reynolds, Constanza Macras, Rolando Villazón, Claus Guth and more. She played out her comical skills in Marlene Melchior's web series "Bigheads" as the lead character, Debbie Adams. In 2020, she danced and acted in celebrated multimedia artist Jeremy Shaw's work,"Phase Shifting Index," which premiered in the world-famous "Centre Pompidou", in Paris. Furthermore, she's a founding artist and co-creator of the immersive lifestyle theater company, "Salon K Experience" implemented in Berlin in 2011.
Sarah Nevada has choreographed and directed her own dance and interactive theater work in multiple venues worldwide, as well curated performance acts for festivals, music videos and solo stage performances.
