Qishi Li is credited as "Qishi Wasabi-Western Li" in his film Pistol Of The Forgiven (2014), on the notion that it is a blend of genre of both the east and west cinema and culture. Li invented the term "Wasabi Western", similar to how they coined the Italian Westerns "Spaghetti Western", his film is now a "Wasabi Western" genre.
