Zak Takowsky is an actor, writer, producer and alum of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where he earned a BFA for Drama and Dramatic Writing.
Zak most recently wrapped as the lead in Laurence Harlan Jacobs' DONT BE SHY alongside Ali Fumiko Whitney and Sydney Taylor, Sam Coppola's film ONE WEEK MORE, Jared Press' pilot MR. CALIFORNIA, and Stephanie Bells' RECLAIMING THE SEA.
Zak can currently be seen in Daniel Robbin's BoulderLight and IFC Midnight film, PLEDGE, as well as the lead opposite John Farley in David Fraunberger's film BILBO. His film, THE RIDER AND THE BULL, for which he starred, produced, and co-wrote is currently running the festival circuit and will be premiering early next year. His other recent credits include the lead in Jarett Malouf and Zero Zero Productions' film GOOD TO SEE YOU, which premiered at both the LA Shorts International Film Festival in July 2023 and the Studio City International Film Festival in August 2023.
While being a Groundlings and Stella Adler trained improv/actor, Zak has also maintained a strong presence online with a TikTok following of over 240k followers and has amassed tens of millions of views across all of his platforms. He's been featured in FOSTER THE PEOPLE'S HELENA BEAT music video which boasts 34 million views as well as numerous viral videos from Benny and Rafi Fine's Emmy Award Winning YouTube Series KIDS REACT. Most notable is his appearance in their Kids React to Bullying video which has over 17 million views.
Zak's goal is to create art that changes the way we think and look at the world. He loves a challenge and enjoys creating all types of projects. He is eager to grow as both an artist and a collaborator.
