Feminine, funny, tough, and warm...
A passionate storyteller, Julia is an actress and writer, based in Berlin and London. Raised trilingual with German, English and French, she embodies a broad cultural and acting range, from comedy to drama.
Julia can be seen as tough Mrs Gregson, opposite Austrian acting heavy-weight Tobias Moretti in international thriller series Das Netz - Prometheus (2022), as well as in the award-winning short drama Blinde Flecken (2021), which screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, and in which she plays the lead role of "Donna".
Julia has guest-starred on top German crime series SOKO Wismar (2004) and Never Too Late for Justice (2016) for German broadcaster ZDF. As "Patricia", Julia played opposite and under the direction of Oscar-nominee Julie Delpy in international drama My Zoe (2019).
Julia is a physical actor who embodies each of her roles with authentic depth and intelligent empathy. She trained as an actress in Paris, Oxford and London, where she was nominated as "Best Lead Actress" at the Off West End Awards 2011. She made her German acting debut in 2013, playing Jürgen Prochnow's daughter, a Muslim convert, in the drama Die Kinder meiner Tochter (2013) for German ZDF. Comedy is where Julia feels at home - she acted alongside Kai Wiesinger and Bettina Zimmermann in long-running Amazon Prime Series The Glory Is Gone (2015), which won the Romy Award 2019. As a content creator, Julia wrote, directed, edited, and played the lead role in 180 km/empty (2019), a short dramedy about burnout and depression, which screened at festivals worldwide and was shortlisted for the 99 Fire-Film-Awards 2019. In her free time, Julia loves to box, dance and do Yoga - not because this is a hip thing to do, but because music and movement have always been a part of her life, ever since she was little. She loves to sing and play the piano...but should probably practice a little bit more.
Julia also loves a great story: with a PhD in literature, she has been writing scripts both funny and sad, which have so far been selected for the Funny Women Awards in London and the Tallinn Black Nights TV Scriptpool.
She is currently developing two of her TV series with production companies Soilfilms (Berlin) and Wady Films (Luxemburg).
