Bruna Cusí is an actress who received "El Ojo Crítico" cinema award RNE 2023, and she has been nominated for Best performing actress in Premiers Plans 2024, for her performance in "Upon Entry".
Bruna Cusí won the Goya Award 2018 for Best Emerging Actress and received Best Actress Supporting Role Gaudí award 2018 thanks to her performance in "Summer 1993", Carla Simón's debut feature film. She was also nominated in the category of Best Female Performance at the 23rd Forqué Awards 2018 and Best Newcomer at the CEC Medals 2018. She has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Gaudí Awards for her role in "Incerta Glòria" (2018) and for her performance in "La Vampira de Barcelona" (2021). She has been nominated for Best Performing Actress at the Gaudí Awards 2024 for her performance in "Upon Entry". In her career as an actress in cinema, Bruna has premiered "Upon Entry" by Alejandro Rojas and Sebastian Vazquez, Zabriskie films (Independent Spirit Awards, SXSW, Tallin Black Night Film Fest, Festival de Málaga) and "El Fantástico Caso del Golem" a film by Burnin Percebes, Aquí y Allí films (Festival de Málaga), and "Blue star" by Javier Macipe (Sansebastian Festival). Across 2020 and 2022, she has appeared in various leading roles: "Mia y Moi" by Borja de la Vega (Paciencia y Barajar), "La Vampira de Barcelona", by Lluís Danès (Brutal Media), "Hogar" by the Pastor brothers (Netflix, Nostromo Pictures), "La Reina de los Lagartos" by Burnin Percebes (Aquí y Allí Films), "Ardara" by Raimon Fransoy y Xavier Puig (Elsabeth Produccions), the series "Fácil", by Anna R. Costa (Movistar+) and the international series The Alienist (Netflix).
Alongside her film work she has developed her theatre career, appearing in more than twenty plays. Her most recent performances have been in "Siglo Mío, Bestia Mía" by cia. Voadora (Centro Dramático Nacional), "Dogville" by Silvia Munt (Teatre Lliure), "La Omisión de la família Coleman" by Claudio Tolcachir (Bitó Produccions) which premiered at Temporada Alta and the Teatro Romea in Barcelona.
She is graduate of dramatic art from the Barcelona Theatre Institute. She also received training in workshops with coaches such as Antonio Fava (Commedia dell'Arte), Yves Marc (Théâtre Mouvement), Julio Manrique and Raquel Perez. She specialized in acting in front of the camera in "LJ. Estudio del actor" with Laura Jou, Agustí Villaronga, Isaac Alcayde and Marc Martínez.
