Exclusive: CBC has put a third season of time-bending anthology drama Plan B into production.
Kotv its returning to produce the season, which will feature a new lead cast of Carolina Bartczak (Painkiller, X-Men: Apocalypse), Arnold Pinnock (The Porter, Combat Hospital) and Ennis Esmer (Children Ruin Everything, Blindspot).
Additional casting includes Arianna Shannon making her screen debut, Jaeden Noel (Orphan Black: Echoes, Invasion), Carolyn Taylor (Baroness von Sketch Show, I Have Nothing) and Grace Lynn Kung (Sort Of, Fallout).
Production is now underway in Montreal, with six episodes planned. The show is an adaptation of the French-language drama series of the same name, which is now in its fourth season for Radio-Canada.

Montreal-based Kotv and Endemol Shine North America have struck a deal to develop the show, which will be known as Boundary Pond.
Louis Choquette is attached as showrunner and director, and the project will come to market in coming weeks. William S. Messier is writing the first two scripts and a series bible. The Sherbrooke, Québec-based writer, screenwriter, and translator wrote the docu-drama series Chicanes d’héritages for Vrai and co-created and co-scripted the web series Terreur 404, which was for Ici Tou.tv).
Kotv’s Louis-Philippe Drolet and Endemol Shine North America’s Sharon Levy and Lisa Fahrenholt serve as executive producers.

After exploring body issues in the teenage years with 2019’s Jeune Juliette, Anne Émond‘s once again moves towards an entire new genre with her fifth feature. Starring Catherine-Anne Toupin (who wrote the screenplay based on her own play), Guillaume Cyr and Lise Roy, Émond went into production on La meute in July of last year. Physically escaping personal trauma by embarking on a simple vaca at a countryside airbnb, Sophie finds commonality with a stranger.
