Under the tutoring of his professor and Beijing Film Academy graduate, Weimin Zhang, Azimi and his crew authored a "rockumentary" entitled, _Made In China (2010) qv. The film was a two-week labor of love; co-shot, edited and produced by fellow SFSU students Ben Goldberg, Hart Perez, and directed by Javier Roberto-Carlos. The film went on to premier at the 2010 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival to a sold out house. Eventually the film would receive the 2011 Delphic Art Movie Award and play at several other film festivals both abroad and state-side.
Azimi resides in the Northern Hollywood area and works as a freelance Camera Assistant, Grip, Electric, and Behind-The-Scenes Photographer. When he isn't on set, he enjoys watching hockey, playing bass and reading.
