Christmas is coming early to Quahog this year. Hulu has set a Monday, Nov. 25 premiere date for its next Family Guy holiday special, aptly titled “Gift of the White Guy,” TVLine has learned.

So, what holiday hijinks await the Griffins this year? Per the streamer’s official synopsis, “Peter must recover Lois’ Christmas brooch after gifting it away in a White Elephant exchange. Stewie changes his attitude upon learning he’s on Santa’s naughty list.”

On Tuesday, Hulu released the trailer for “Interior Chinatown,” its wild action-comedy series based on Charles Yu’s book of the same name. Yang, who plays a mild-mannered waiter, is about to get way in over his head.

But first, he exists in total mundanity.

“In Chinatown, nothing ever changes,” Willis Wu (Yang) says to open the trailer. “Nothing exciting ever happens to me or you or anyone we know.”

“I feel like I’m a background character in someone else’s story,” Wu continues.

In the trailer for “Interior Chinatown,” Yang’s Willis Wu laments that he lives a relatively simple life, feeling like a background character as he works at a restaurant in Chinatown, when in fact, he has unknowingly been relegated to the background of a police procedural titled “Black & White.”

“Nothing ever changes — nothing exciting ever happens to me or you or anyone we know,” Yang’s Willis tells to his coworker and friend, found in Ronny Chieng. “I feel like I’m a background character in someone else’s story.”

Just as soon as he can blink, Willis’ fate changes as he’s plunged into the action when he inadvertently witnesses a crime outside the restaurant.

Exclusive: Chloe Bennet (Interior Chinatown) and Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso) have been tapped to lead Hello Out There, an indie marking the feature debut of writer-director Otis Blum, which has wrapped production in New Mexico.

The film centers on Minnie (Bennet), a young journalist who embarks on a road trip across New Mexico with her cousin, Rex (Dunster), a punk rock guitarist fresh out of rehab, who is trying to figure out what’s left. Invincible Season 2 Episode 8 referred to one of the earliest jokes in the series, one concerning a certain archeologist with a beetle tattoo, who gets buried in the sand because Mark summons a sandstorm by flying too low.

This occurred way back in Episode 4 of Season 1. Episode 8 of Season 2 had Chloe Bennet (Quake from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) play a companion to the daughter of this archeologist. Dave‘s worldwide tour has come to an end: The hip-hop comedy starring Dave Burd will not return for a Season 4 at Fxx, TVLine has learned.

“After some back and forth, there are no current plans for a fourth season of Dave right now,” FX said in a statement, “as Dave Burd has decided to take an extended break to focus on music and other ventures.” But “that does not rule out the possibility of doing something in the future,” the statement added, and Burd will develop “future projects for us through his overall production deal with Fxp.”

Most animated features are designed to be exported to countries all over the world, the voice track redubbed for each local market to add flavour and ensure the kids don’t have to read subtitles. Likewise, having the characters incarnated by talking animals (a tradition dating back to the earliest days of animation), is another handy way to deracialise the material. This way, anyone anywhere watching the same movie can relate to the heroic dog or rabbit or whoever as they go about learning about the value of family or the importance of friendship in a fantasy landscape that bears little resemblance to our actual planet.

It’s mostly just a reel to hype up the massive star-studded voice cast, without much in the way of actual footage leaving things pretty obscure.

Based on the Robert Kirkman graphic novels of the same name, the series revolves around teenager Mark Grayson as he develops superpowers akin to his father, the world’s most powerful hero Omni-Man, only to eventually learn of a dark secret behind his father’s past while dealing with his own powers. After all, ‘With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility’, it may be an overused line in Spiderman, but is applicable for all supers and even in real life.

Prime Video teased the return of “Invincible” at San Diego Comic-Con with a new trailer, unveiling a star-studded lineup of new characters joining the fun in Season 2.
