Leo Sjöman is a Finnish actor, producer, and screenwriter. He has a Master of Arts degree in acting from the Theatre Academy of Helsinki, graduated 2012. His latest feature film Palimpsest premiered Autumn 2022 in La Biennale Venice.
Sjöman has his own production company Hoka Films.
Sjöman became known from Saara Cantell's feature film "Stars Above", and since then he has been acting in several TV-series and films. He has a strong background in Theatre and has many demanding roles behind him on scene, for instance in The Finnish National Theatre. During the last few years Leo has focused on camera acting in several TV-series including new international thriller Bullets (Herts of Drama Buyers, Cannes). Leo grew up in the suburb of Helsinki and played ice hockey and trained in classical singing before getting into acting.
