Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, the duo that make up the French music group Justice, have been seen as pioneers of electronic music around the world since their official debut in 2003. Earlier this year they released their latest album Hyperdrama and, a few weeks ago, released the music video "Neverender," which is full of anime inspirations. Crunchyroll News got to meet with Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay to talk about their career, their process and their favorite anime. Note: This interview has been edited for clarity. Hi Gaspard, hi Xavier! I hope you're doing well, and it's not too late where you are. Xavier: Great, great! No, it's alright! Let's start simply. First, thanks for joining us for this interview. Could you introduce yourselves in a few words to the Crunchyroll News' readers? Xavier: Well, I don't know if we can add more than we are Xavier and Gaspard from Justice.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. The 11th annual Life Is Beautiful Festival kicked off on Friday, but the downtown Las Vegas staple looked a little different this year. In previous iterations, the festival has taken over 18 city blocks of downtown Las Vegas — located about five miles south of the famed Strip —but organizers switched it up this year, opting instead for a two-day “Big Beautiful Block Party” near the original site. Due to the smaller footprint, stages sat side by side, and sets didn’t overlap.

DJ/production duo Justice are back with a new song, “Saturnine,” featuring guest vocals from R&b singer Miguel. The track will appear on the French group’s new album, Hyperdrama, out April 26 via Ed Banger/Because Music.

Though led by some blazing, bright synth work and Miguel’s unmistakable falsetto, “Saturnine” takes some moody turns befitting its title. In a statement, Justice said, “We don’t think we’ve ever made anything that sounds remotely like this track before.”

Ahead of the album’s April 26 release via Ed Banger/Because Records, the “D.A.N.C.E.” duo have shared a pair of new songs, “One Night/All Night” featuring Tame Impala — along with its music video directed by Anton Tammi — and the track “Generator.”

Justice have returned to announce Hyperdrama, the duo’s first album in eight years. They’ve also shared two new songs: “One Night/All Night” featuring Tame Impala and “Generator.” Stream them both below.

Set for release on April 26th via Ed Banger/Because Music, Hyperdrama — which we named as one of the most anticipated albums of 2024 — will be the electronic duo’s first LP since 2016’s Woman. The announcement follows Justice’s recent inclusion on the 2024 Coachella lineup, where they’ll debut their new live show (get tickets here). As a preview of Hyperdrama, the duo has offered “Generator” and the Tame Impala-featuring “One Night/All Night.” “Generator” is signature Justice, with glitchy synths, crisp drums, and a gargantuan bass line.

Susan Sarandon channeled her “Thelma & Louise” days for Justice’s new “Fire” music video. In the fun and playful clip, the actress portrays a mechanic who takes the French electronic duo, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, on a joyride in the desert.

The video has an ‘80s vibe with Sarandon dressed in washed-out blue jeans and a simple white t-shirt. She’s first seen welding and changing outfits before talking the guys out for a spin. “Fire” is directed by Pascal Teixera who explained that the treatment for the video was inspired by a conversation about washing a car.

In "Rubber," directed by Quentin Dupieux, why does a tire inexplicably come to life and devote that life to killing things? No reason. This film, as bizarre a concept as it might be to wrap your head around (not the-tire-coming-to-life part, but the part about things happening incessantly for no reason), is quite a comical film.

The movie opens with a nervous-looking man holding a few dozen binoculars in each hand on a dirt road littered with upright chairs blocking the path. A car barrels down the path knocking over each chair. The car stops, the trunk pops open and a sheriff (Stephen Spinella) pops out holding a glass of water. He begins to explain the concept of “no reason” in what appears to be an attempt to break the fourth wall but he is really talking to a group of spectators behind a velvet rope.
