- Born and raised in Hong Kong and England, award-winning Amanda Lee is a costume designer and stylist based in Los Angeles. She works across media, in film, dance, video games and live performance. Lee is fascinated by the complexity of human behavior, and designs costumes to explore characters' deep and often subconscious motivations.
Lee's costume designs have been shown at The Getty Villa, REDCAT, The 14th Factory, Tongva Park, Human Resources, and more. Recent film credits include Neon's Pleasure (Cannes Official Selection, Sundance Grand Jury nominee, Spirit Awards nominee, Deauville Jury Prize winner); Annapurna Interactive's Telling Lies (BAFTA nominee, The Webby Award winner) starring Alexandra Shipp; How Does It Start (Sundance Short Film Grand Jury nominee, Champs-Élysées Prix du Jury nominee) directed by Amber Sealey; and The Price (SXSW Grand Jury nominee) starring Aml Ameen.
Lee is honored to have been awarded by the 2022 Swedish Guldbagge Awards for Best Costume Design for her work in Pleasure.
