David comes from a background in computer science engineering with a
Masters degree from the City College of New York. In 1976, he moved to
San Diego and founded Opticomm, a fiber optic video broadcast systems
manufacturer, which services high profile names, including NBC, Disney,
Viacom and NASA, amongst others.
In 2007, David successfully sold the company to Emcore Corporation, and then relocated to Los Angeles where he received an MFA at the New York Film Academy.
After graduating at the top of his class, David fused his passion for storytelling with his business experience and established, Avyan Productions. In nearly half a decade he has produced multiple films. He is known for his work on The Scroll, Karma, Charlie English and Ziya. David's vision is to enrich the big screen with different, unique storytelling.
