True Blood is back for its final season, and we are, yet again, hooked. It’s a gore fest we just can’t avert our eyes from — with all sorts of ghouls wreaking havoc and tearing humans to bloody shreds, True Blood definitely does not shy away from wanton violence. Vampires, werewolves, demigods and witches are all terrifying as can be in Bon Temps, Louisiana, so we’ve decided to find out what the scariest True Blood characters look like when they’re not being blood-suckingly villainous. You know, to help us (and you) sleep at night.
So if the sight of Lilith, naked and covered in blood, fangs bared, haunts your dreams, you’ll want to click through our gallery to see how adorably harmless actress Jessica Clark is. We’ve got Debbie Pelt (Brit Morgan) eating a cupcake, Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) cuddling a lamb,...

Will Eric Northman die on "True Blood"?
Many fans of the long-running HBO series have been worried about the fate of Alexander Skarsgard's character since "True Blood's" Season 6 key art was released, featuring a vampire, who looks a lot like Eric, screaming above the tagline, “No one lives forever.”
During an appearance on "Access Live" on Wednesday, actress Kristin Bauer van Straten, who plays Pam on "True Blood," opened up about the rumors regarding her character's maker.
Anchor Billy Bush said fans believe that Eric will die this season and asked Bauer if it's a fear of hers.
"It is a fear of mine for a couple of reasons. I love being around him," she said, as guest host Holly Robinson Peete noted the tears welling up in Bauer's eyes. "See? She knows something," Bush asserted. "Well, I know a lot of things," Bauer said, fighting back the tears.

Fairy peepaws, nosy activists and a human water fountain made this week’s ep a considerable improvement over the premiere.
On some bridge somewhere, a wormhole opens up and Rob Zombie falls out. Sookie (Anna Paquin) stirs in her sleep, her Kindle malfunctioning beside her. Apparently she wasn’t a fan of the Halloween remake either.
Jason‘s (Ryan Kwanten) ice-cream-suited benefactor appears in front of his careening car – full-on Mister Boogedy style, mind you – and saves him. As expected, his blond chauffeur is Not Warlow (of course not – why would he have been referring to himself in the third person last episode?), but in fact Jason’s fairy grandpappy (Rutger Hauer). He was apparently testing J-bird the whole time and homeslice failed miserably.
Over at Fangtasia, Tara (Rutina Wesley) is on the bar writhing in pain and Pam (Kristen Bauer van Straten) tries to comfort her – looks like she’s not healing.

True Blood returns for its sixth season Sunday (9/8c, HBO), picking up just moments after Bill (Stephen Moyer) drank the blood of original vampire Lilith (Jessica Clark), exploded and then resurrected from a pool of blood. Not to mention, the mysterious Warlow is also coming after Sookie (Anna Paquin). With so much in store, TVGuide.com caught up with the cast of HBO's hit series to get the low down:

This Sunday, HBO’s True Blood returns for its sixth season. For the uninitiated, True Blood is the story of telepathic (fairy) waitress Sookie Stackhouse, and the multitude of magical creatures she attracts to her magnetic vagina. It’s a supernatural soap opera with a sensibility that is unabashedly trashy, gory, and sweaty. It is also one of the smartest allegories on television about gay rights, race relations, and the South. In other words: the perfect summer show. So whether this is your first visit to Bon Temps or you’re a full-time resident, here’s what we have to look forward to.

Good morning!
Northampton is going to be losing a piece of lesbian history, as a house at 66 Green St. that used to house many a gay Smith student is being demolished.
Here's a preview for next week's episode of The Killing with Bullett trying to help police find her friend, Callie.
Mistresses Jes Macallan says there's "definitely chemistry" with her character and lesbian Alex on the show. We know! But I have to say, I hate how they dress Alex. She was wearing some crazy culotte ensemble last night that made me cringe.
This Disclosure music video is from last year, but a reader sent it in saying we all missed it somehow! And I agree with her that it's worth watching.
Selena Gomez was at La Gay Pride. Did you make out with her?...

A lesbian-themed film won at Cannes. Wow! How is that possible? Why did it happen? Is it a film that shows the reality of lesbian life, love and coming out? Or does it pander to heterosexual ideas of lesbian love and turn lesbian sex into a porn show?
Abdellatif Kechiche's "Blue Is The Warmest Color" walked off with two trophies at this year's Cannes film festival: the Palme d'Or and a special award for its two lead actresses, Adele Exarchopoulos and Lea Seydoux.
Lesbian film is taking off. The quality of films coming out in this genre is growing. The actors involved are well-known in the industry, often award winners themselves. The cinematography is increasingly well-done and often amazingly beautiful. The scripts are well-written and the acting has moved from amateurish and stilted to experienced and smooth, with excellent story-telling and directing.

All hail Lilith ... And her cardboard tube?
Known for playing the bright red "first vampire" on HBO's sexy, bloody series "True Blood," Jessica Clark admitted in an interview with HuffPost Live (above) that her costume takes quite a bit of effort.
Not only is a huge amount of paint applied to her skin, but Clark has to maintain it throughout the day.
"They made me this cardboard tube, which they had to lower over my head, and then three people had to walk along holding it," the actress explained. "That was how they would transition me from my dressing room to set ... they would have to bring me lunch and semi-feed me because I would stick to things. By the end of the shoot day, I couldn't even have my arms by my side because everything would stick. So they set up these posts where I could rest my hands.

If you ever find yourself making judgments about people – like, for example, immigrants, or Asians, or African-Americans, white folks, poor people, rich people, gay or transgender, or those interracially married – find one of those people quickly, talk to them, consider their position, drop your judgment and watch your world open up.

Good afternoon everyone!
Angelina Jolie is set to direct her second feature film.
Dan Kitwood/Getty Images
Jolie will helm the World War II bi-pic Unbroken. The film will be an adaptation of Laura Hillenbrand's book Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption. It's a true story about Louis Zamperini, “a competitor at the 1936 Olympics who, as a U.S. Army Air Forces bombardier during World War II, survived a plane crash and then spent the rest of the war in a Japanese prison camp.”
Jennifer Lawrence is posing like a superhero on the cover of South Africa's Marie Claire. And I thank her for that.

You guys! Last night was the season finale of True Blood. I'm still kind of in disbelief that it's over, because it really feels like it was just getting started. How are we supposed to last until 20-fucking-13 after all those seriously intense cliff-hangers? But that being said, I really feel like this was the best episode of the season, and not only because of that make out scene. But now I'm getting ahead of myself.
We begin with the fairies putting their hands together to zap the shit out of Russell, who, in turn, only feels a very slight tickling sensation. So that's terrifying. If the fairies don't have their zapping powers, what do any of us have at all? Just as he appears to be about to erupt into an fit of orgasmic giggles, Eric appears! I'm such an Eric fan right now.

Raising its body count significantly on Sunday’s season finale, HBO’s True Blood ended its exploration of what happens when individuals blindly follow one person or doctrine. In the end, we watched Bill (Stephen Moyer) continue his plan to be the original vampire Lilith’s (Jessica Clark) chosen one with an unexpected outcome. Note: Spoilers ahead if...Read more»...

Stephen Moyer has insisted that his True Blood character Bill Compton is not "evil". True Blood's fifth season has seen Bill fall under the spell of religious fervour, which even led him to strike his progeny Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll). Moyer insisted in a recent interview that Bill's devotion to Lilith (Jessica Clark)'s vampire gospel has led him totally astray. "[Some are] saying he's evil and I'd say he thinks he's doing the right thing. But I suppose dictators always think they're doing the right thing," the actor told TV Line. "He's been lost and he's found something to grab hold of that he thinks is the right way forward." Moyer went on to explain: "When you play a character you have to ask yourself, 'Can I make sense of what's happening here? Is (more)...

Lucky for your tender little heart, this week's episode of True Blood was brought to you by queer women – specifically, by Jessica Clark's naked lesbian body and Angela Robinson's lesbian writer brain.
We open with Lilith appearing to Bill to let him know that he's the chosen one. I was immediately suspicious of this decision because obviously Bill is the worst. Lilith is covered in what looks like period blood and urges Bill to drink all of it. She then smears some blood on the glass that showcases her blood vial. And I have officially come to the conclusion that she is the only person in the world who could look hot in head-to-toe blood makeup.
Nora, meanwhile, is having some second thoughts about following Lilith's boobs into heaven. Nothing says "this was a bad idea" like watching a vampire goddess...

This week on True Blood, we finally have a reason to hate Bill Compton other than the fact that he’s really annoying. Also, I was waiting throughout the entire episode to see Jessica Clark again but was deeply disappointed. Lilith, were you ever really there at all?
All in all, though, I liked this episode way better than last week. We begin at the hospital, after the police take away the man who shot Luna and Sam. Subsequently, Luna has a totally justified freak out session. Her emotions are so severe that she skin-walks, transitioning into none other than her maybe boyfriend Sam Merlotte. I miss her face. She sneaks out of the hospital in some stolen clothes, with Sam Trammell doing his best Papi walk. I think his hips are too swishy to be convincing. Papi has more of a strut.

After a week of voting, we've tallied up your picks and are ready to present to you the top five lesbian couples you chose as the hottest. The number one and two couple were only a few hundred away from one another, blowing the competition out of the water. But numbers three, four and five did not make a poor showing: they still brought in the votes to bring them above the twenty other partnerships on the list.
It's interesting to note that at least three of these couples are married. There's also a lot of blonde going on, with every pairing having at one fair-haired woman. They range from models to musicians to actors to fitness gurus to comedians to activists, so you also seem to appreciate variety when it comes to talents. But above all, they're hot, and that's why your votes placed them all so high on the list.
