- Dr Peter Consistently Falconer is a UK-based sound artist/composer, originally from Hartlepool. His work combines music, sound design, narration, historical research, and sonic journalism to tell parafictional stories about our own and possible alternative realities.
Although a lifelong musician and songwriter, Peter began contemporary art/music composition in 2017. He has written commissions for the Horniman Museum, the National Trust, performers Jane Chapman, Zöllner-Roche Duo, and Kompass Ensemble.
As a voiceover artist, Peter has featured on works by composers Harry Matthews, Uri Agnon, and Olly Sellwood. As a pianist, he has featured on works by Sophie Stone. As a Northumbrian piper, Peter has appeared on TV in the comedy show Outsiders (Dave, UK), and also performs with experimental performance group Vocal Constructivists. Previous projects have included several albums as lyricist and vocalist of acclaimed Prog Rock band Drifting Sun.
Peter is the house composer for Proxima Dance Company, and previous compositions have been performed in shows by by choreographers Anna Guzak, Rhiannon Bromley and Agata Olszewska. Film soundtracks include works by Videorats, Oli Mason, Lara Jensen and Timothy Gaer.
