Ryan Patrick McGuffey
- Actor
- Producer
- Art Department
Born in Northern California to a Scotch/Irish mother and a European
father, Ryan's life resulted in shuffling between the US, Australia,
New Zealand, Ireland, UK, France and Sweden, resembling nothing less
than a 3 ring circus.
Whether touring around the world as a technical assistant with U2, tending bar & entertaining in the French Riviera, or attending acting school in Dublin and NYC, Ryan lives diversity.
A veteran of the stage from the age of 5, Ryan discovered acting was the perfect medium to exercise his unrestrained imagination. Realizing he could escape the monotony of small town life, he soon found himself reading Jack Kerouac and sneaking out of his mother's house to attend auditions for any production he could find, from as far away as NYC, San Francisco Los Angeles.
Whether playing sleazy, urban ne'er do well, Vinnie Jones in Elmer Rice's Pulitzer Prize winning 'Street Scene' at the Harlen Adams Theatre, Vladimir in Samuel Beckett's existential work, 'Waiting for Godot' at the Gate Theatre, or the mild mannered James Morland in Jane Austen's regency period piece, "Northanger Abbey" at the Blue Room Theatre, Ryan consistently takes on a myriad of roles that prevent him from being pinned down to any specific style or genre.
Upon moving to West Hollywood in October 2008, Ryan was immediately cast as 'Myron' in John Campea's "The Anniversary".
Ryan Patrick McGuffey is an Actor, Writer, Director and Producer and believes himself a citizen of the world.
