Alexander is a bilingual British actor and filmmaker of Russian origin. He trained at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, 2003-2006). Most notable projects are 'A Spy Among Friends' (dir. Nick Murphy) where he played CIA/ KBG double agent Orchis. The series were nominated for a BAFTA in the drama mini-series category. This was followed up by 'The Tatooist of Auschwitz' that is based on a best-selling book.
His debut short "Mama - Saint Sebastian" was shot on location in St. Petersburg in 2015. The 27-min picture focuses on the relationship of a mother and her weak-willed son learns that she had tried to kill him in his infancy by driving a needle into his cranium. He has to deal with the aftermath of the news and find the will to carry on. The film was picked up by over 25 film festivals around the world and won a slew of awards including 'Master of Emotion' at the Lublin film fest.
Alexander is developing a dark comedy feature 'FrankenLenin' and a dramedy mini-series 'NeuroChekhov' set in the Communist Russia of the future.
