The WWE Hall of Fame has inducted many personalities who were in the WWE and wrestling industries and beyond. It began in 1993 with André the Giant being its sole inductee, after he passed away a few months earlier. More than 200 inductees have been added to the Hall of Fame since then, with many two-time inductees included as well.
Apart from WWE superstars, the Hall is known to have inducted many celebrities who have supported the promotion as well. Be it politicians, singers, or baseball players, everyone has a spot in the ‘celebrity wing’ of the promotion. Here are ten of the fourteen celebrities that have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Match #1: Allie and Kiera Hogan beat Su Yung and the Undead Maid of Honor – Knockout’s Tag Team Match
This was a decent match that had good character work from Yung. Su is really good at playing this Great Muta/Undertaker hybrid that still hasn’t quite found its footing yet. Allie worked hard, but still has trouble standing out from the crowd with this character. Hogan is a refreshing change of pace, at least in the small details. This wasn’t a bad way to open the card.

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that since January, the WWE has been talking to the Sinclair Broadcasting Group, owners of Ring of Honor Wrestling, with the hopes of purchasing that promotion. Talks are said to be in the opening stages and, similar to the conversation the WWE had with Impact Wrestling before Anthem Sports purchased that company, may turn out with no change in ownership.
As a fan of both organizations, I'm conflicted by this news. There are some performers in Ring of Honor who would be amazing in either the WWE or the Nxt brand. Adam Cole for one would be a huge aquisition for the WWE. While rumor has it he's already WWE bound, having him come into the company and acknowledge the work he's created in Ring of Honor would do a lot to establish him for the casual WWE audience.

An umbrella to a pipe fight?
When a man slaps another man in the face with a glove and challenges him to a duel, the results aren’t going to end up good for one of those men. This week on 205 Live on the WWE Network, we saw Jack Gallagher face off against Ariya Daivari in a duel as well as Neville facing off against Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann in a non-title match. How did the show perform?
While clunky, it did much better than last week. To start, the crowd in Chicago wanted to be there. That’s a good start. When you start off a show that according to the WWE is “The Hottest Hour in Television!”, seeing a large portion of your audience leave and the arena left in darkness to cover up the fact that most folks have left kills any momentum you’re trying to build.

Earlier today, the WWE Network sent a WrestleMania week email to subscribers advertising the streaming service’s full schedule and, in the process, confirmed this year’s entrant into the Hall of Fame’s celebrity wing – rapper/actor Snoop Dogg, who has been a longtime fan of the company and has been a part of WWE television broadcasts in the past.
Snoop made a memorable appearance at WrestleMania Xxiv, where he served as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening’s Playboy Bunnymania Lumberjack match between the teams of Maria and Ashley Massaro and Beth Phoenix and Melina. After the match, Snoop clotheslined Maria’s jealous ex-boyfriend, Santino Marella, and kissed the Playboy covergirl. He returned to WWE as Raw guest host on October 19, 2009, where a scuffle with Chavo Guerrero saw Snoop take the former Cruiserweight Champion down with a clothesline and a tackle.

With the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reporting that Mick Foley is scheduled to play a role at WrestleMania – and that his part in the show has already been defined – it’s only a matter of time before the three-time WWE Champion returns to Monday Night Raw.
Though Foley is not expected to be at this Monday’s Raw in Chicago, rumors are swirling that he will be appear live on the March 14 Raw from Pittsburgh. Given that the two subsequent Raws before WrestleMania are coming from Philadelphia and Brooklyn, appearances from the Long Island-based Foley are quite possible.
Since returning to WWE in 2011, Foley has made brief appearances at a few WrestleMania events. At WrestleMania 28, Foley was involved in a brief skit with Santino Marella. At 29, he was acknowledged as a member of the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame class. Finally, at WrestleMania XXX, he was part of the event’s pre-show panel.

In the weekly run-up to every single Royal Rumble pay-per-view in recent years, WWE has aired a ‘By the Numbers’ video package to highlight the history of the long-popular Rumble match.
The factoids therein have included the combined weight of every entrant in history, as well as the tally of eliminations made by Kane (almost matching Jason Voorhees’ kill count throughout the Friday the 13th series). There’s also the awkward reminder that two men have won the Royal Rumble match after entering in the number one slot, with only Shawn Michaels’ name getting mentioned specifically. That’s the annual cue for dry-witted cynics to smugly yell, “Who was the other one?” at their TVs, when they already know the answer.
The problem with WWE’s video is that it doesn’t exactly promote new facts. Granted, they have no real reason to change up their By the Numbers montage,...

Is there a more iconic annual single match in professional wrestling than the Royal Rumble itself? Every year it acts as kickstarter for the year to come, setting off the stories that will make up WrestleMania and beyond, as 30 superstars head to the ring in an attempt to be the last man standing pointing at the WrestleMania sign.
28 Rumbles have already passed us by, and with them a torrent of memorable moments. Whether it is Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior having their first face to face, Shawn Michaels ousting a celebrating British Bulldog, a shocking John Cena return at number thirty or Santino Marella almost pulling off the greatest shock in professional wrestling history, the match brings on more nostalgia than most.
But how do the Rumbles stack up against each other? Over the past 28 years we’ve seen matches covering the entire quality spectrum, from perfectly put...

After last week’s Raw high-point of the year, it all came crashing down with another run-of-the-mill offering and a 15% drop in ratings. And that’s despite Ric Flair, Paul Heyman, Seth Rollins and Santino Marella all appearing.
Don’t worry though, we can blame it on the Slammys (which need reinvention) and the fact that only half of the winners even managed to turn up. And next week there are more rumours of Vince McMahon returning, so maybe the lull is going to be temporary…
Anyway, this being Christmas week, there was a distinctly festive feel to WWE social media. Lots got dressed up, lots posed with presents and there was a surprisingly poignant sense that WWE Christmas isn’t always all that glamorous.
So, be prepared for lots of shots of wrestlers being dorky with their families at Christmas. This is the week in WWE Instagram.

Ah The Slammy Awards…
I don’t know about you, but heading into this show I couldn’t wait for Santa to turn up and give Adam from WhatCulture.com another cringeworthy Christmas moment to add to his seeming never-ending collection.
I also couldn’t wait for WWE to play on the whole Miss Universe controversy in the most painful way possible, where Santino Marella – who was returning to add his own blend of comedy gold to the show, didn’t you know – read out the wrong person, who then brawled with the real winner after having the illustrious trophy taken from them.
Oh the joy…
The gimmick that is The Slammys presented WWE with the platform to try and create something as compelling as last week’s show. The return of Vince McMahon and Roman Reigns’ shock WWE World Heavyweight Championship win saw Raw hit unparalleled heights...

WWE Raw will play host to the Slammy Awards tonight, with a string of names already confirmed as returning. PWInsider are reporting that both Ric Flair and Paul Heyman are booked on the show. Considering Heyman’s close ties with Brock Lesnar, it also looks likely that The Beast could be there.
Another return will be Santino Marella, with Lords Of Pain reporting that he is in Minneapolis and is likely to present a Slammy award.
Nikki Bella also looks to be returning, after posting a photo on Twitter with the caption “Hello Minneapolis Hopefully the #SlammyAwards will get a lil bit of Nikki Bella!”
She is nominated for Diva Of The Year, and can be considered a favourite to win. That will likely be the angle for her coming back to Raw.
It should be an exciting show, with the awards adding some extra interest to an already strong Raw momentum.

If you’re a wrestling fan you’ll know just how much the WWE loves Christmas. Seasonal shows have been a staple of their television output for as long as I can remember going as far back as Captain Lou Albano reading Christmas stories on WWE programming; through the Attitude era, where the fun of Xmas was juxaposed with the more hardcore on-screen action; to more recent episodes of Raw and the likes of the “Good Santa vs. Bad Santa” match between Mark Henry and Damien Sandow in 2013.
The WWE Christmas Collection sees Christmas come early to the WWE universe as “The Hardcore Legend” Mick Foley and his daughter Noelle (side note: I’m sure Foley’s daughter takes after her mothers side of ther family…) as they go on a quest to find Santa Claus, all the while reminiscing about classic WWE moments and matches from Christmas’ past. What has been billed as the final batch of Superstars for WWE 2K16 has been confirmed this afternoon.
Here are the names in full: Bray Wyatt, Mikey Whipwreck, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods & Big E), Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady, Stunning Steve Austin, Superstar Steve Austin, Rusev, American Bad Ass Undertaker, Baron Corbin, Brian Pillman, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Konnor, Viktor, Mark Henry, Ministry Undertaker, Ricky Steamboat, Savio Vega, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, Sting ’99, Sting Blonde and finally the two Terminator renders.
The new names show how in-depth the Stone Cold mode will be. It looks like we’re going to be travelling right through his days as a Hollywood Blonde with Brian Pillman and that feud with Ricky Steamboat, stopping off for a cup of coffee in Ecw to feud with Mikey Whipwreck (and maybe Sandman?), and then going through his main run in WWE, including the 2001 Royal Rumble.

For a while there, it seemed like tag team wrestling in World Wrestling Entertainment was dead in the water. A cursory look at some of the past champions in the period between the unification of the titles in 2009 to the current day paints a particularly dreary picture, with such historic teams as Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov, The Corre (Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel) and The New Nexus (David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty) holding the shiny copper pennies at various points.
Go even further back, to the miserable mid-2000s, and the division is cluttered with teams like Gymini, The Dicks and The Heartthrobs. It has been bleak, to say the least.
Maybe it is too optimistic to commit to this, but the winds of change seem to have spread through the WWE and tag team wrestling is a thing once more. There are actual teams inhabiting the division, The New...

Every year, 30 men are given the ultimate opportunity in the Royal Rumble match. Only one can emerge victorious with a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania, and inevitably it’s no easy feat. Only a select number of Superstars can say they’ve won the Rumble, and an even smaller elite can say they’ve won multiple.
And of course that is further complicated by the fact that the Rumble is the only event of the year where almost anything is possible; who can forget Santino Marella nearly securing victory in the 2011 Royal Rumble?
Simply put, it’s all about the numbers and the draw: inevitably, the earlier someone enters the Rumble, the less likely it is they walk out the winner. That said, it isn’t unheard of for someone to draw No. 1 or No. 2 in the Rumble and win the whole thing; Shawn Michaels,...

Like most of the game, this year’s create a wrestler features have been stripped back to the bare minimum, it’s almost like we’re back playing SmackDown! 1. Everything is very limited, WWE and 2K Sports have done their collective best to extract all of the creative juices from our minds.
You can’t even create a female wrestler for crying out loud.
This lack of options, a threadbare roster on the game itself and only 25 Caw slots means that putting together your all time fantasy Royal Rumble will be a struggle.
However, creating your ultimate Rumble has been made easier with Rr legends Shawn Michaels, Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rey Mysterio and Hulk Hogan already appearing on the game. You could of course update their respective attires to have them dressed like they were when they made...

Santino Marella & Tamina Smuka. Eve Torres & Chris Masters. Charlie Haas & Maria Kanellis. Mickie James & The Great Khali. Mark Henry & Mae Young. Randy Orton & Stephanie McMahon and Kaitlyn & Hornswoggle.
These are but a simple seven of the enormous plethora of pairs whom have locked lips for a ratings pop in their WWE careers. Sometimes for romance, sometimes for comedy, occasionally out of a genuine real-life affection, the kiss has become a recurring image in the pro-wrestling universe, so much so it’s become a bit clichéd.

You take the good, you take the bad, you take the rest and there you have last night's installment of Monday Night Raw.
With the Authority finally usurped, fans got some much-needed relief from Hhh and Stephanie's omnipresence (at least after the opening segment) and were rewarded for their patience with the return of one-night Gm Daniel Bryan. And after a rather lengthy series of monologues and mandates, grown men and women tussled and toiled, belts were defended and retained and Kane ended his night covered in a hellacious combination of condiments.

The origins of wrestlers using music to enhance their entrances are not clear with Glen Stride often cited as being the first wrestler to do so.
The early 1950s saw female champion Mildred Burke often utilise music while Gorgeous George associated himself with ‘Pomp and Circumstance,’ a song which was later used by ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage.
However, Freebird Michael Hayes is recognised as the man who took the relationship between wrestling and music to the next level.
Hayes unwittingly changed the wrestling business for the better as he convinced promoters to put a tape of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Freebird” into the P.A. system as they made their way to the ring. Before this, the majority wrestlers didn’t have entrance songs, relying on their standing with the fan base to make their entrance unique and entertaining.

Despite being critically panned, an under-performer at the box office and the second-worst film of Arnold Schwarzenegger's '90s career (after Batman & Robin), Jingle All the Way has miraculously spawned a sequel.
There's no place for Arnie in the belated follow-up, however, as Larry the Cable Guy takes on the role of a laid-back dad struggling to get his daughter the sought-after Harrison Bear for Christmas.
A co-production between 20th Century Fox and WWE Studios, the comedy features wrestler Santino Marella in a prominent role with Brian Stepanek, Kristen Robek and Kennedi Clements in the cast.
Director Alex Zamm, whose previous credits include Tooth Fairy 2, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 and Inspector Gadget 2, is pulling a double shift as the voice of the bear.
Jingle All the Way 2 will be heading straight to DVD and Blu-ray on December 2.

WWE 2K15 will be the second game under the umbrella of 2K Sports after several years of being published through Thq. While the game is already out for the PS3 and Xbox 360, the wait for the PS4 and Xbox One is not too far away as it will be released on November 18th.
The development of an annually-released title is a year-round process. Even before this year’s game ships out, work is already being done for next year’s game. Due to this,...

It was another crazy week in the wide world of wrestling. Adam Rose turned his back on a man in a bunny costume, Cesaro was fed to Ryback, and Renee Young decided to dress up as a zombie Native American for Halloween, because being insensitive in WWE is always a good career move! If you don’t believe me, just ask Michael Cole (calling Josh Matthews a gay slur on Twitter), Jbl (once insinuated the former governor of New Jersey who is a homosexual likes little boys) and Michael Hayes (Vince McMahon’s favorite old-school racist). Renee, I thought you were different!
In the most confusing and horribly dated statement of the week, Michael Cole said that The Bunny “Twerking” looked like Charlie Chaplin. How does that make any sense? Do Cole and Jbl have a weekly competition to come up with the more outdated entertainment reference? Hey guys,...

WWE’s latest foray into widening its appeal is Slam City, an animated adventure. The Finisher has fired all the WWE Superstar on behalf of Mr McMahon, so now they have to all get regular jobs in Slam City. Alberto del Rio becomes a barista, John Cena becomes a car mechanic, Rey Mysterio is a crossing guard and so on. However, there’s more to the Finisher’s plan that meets the eye.
The first thing that really bugs me is that none of the voice actors are the actual wrestlers, as best as I can make out. I can’t find an actual cast list for love nor money but it definitely doesn’t sound like them, especially Brock Lesnar and Shamus, with the ridiculous accent. Even John Cena doesn’t seem to voice himself. It seems a bit odd that they couldn’t let (or make) the guys...

Earlier this year, WWE Studios and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment announced that they were developing "Jingle All the Way 2," the sequel to Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1996 comedy. And now we have a trailer for the new film. Check it out below. "Jingle All the Way 2" stars Larry the Cable Guy (Tooth Fairy 2, Cars) and WWE Superstar Santino Marella. It's directed by Alex Zamm (Tooth Fairy 2, Dr. Dolittle: Million Dollar Mutts) and will be released on DVD/Blu-ray during the 2014 holiday season. Plot: Two desperate dads compete in a battle to be the best father and make this the best Christmas ever! Fun-loving, laid-back dad Larry (Larry The Cable Guy) is having a tough time finding the perfect Christmas gift for his 8-year-old daughter, Noel. The season's hottest toy, The Harrison Bear, is all sold out, and Noel's new stepfather wants to keep it that way . so he...

There's no Arnold Schwarzenegger. But don't worry: Jingle All The Way 2 has Larry The Cable Guy...
We're indebted, if indebted is the word, to the folks at Film Divider for bringing this to our attention. Earlier this year, we ran the news that a sequel was coming to the Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle, Jingle All The Way. Few rate the original as any kind of lost classic, but it certainly has it fans.
You will not be surprised to hear that Arnie is going nowhere near the sequel. Instead, the mantle has been passed over to Larry The Cable Guy for Jingle All The Way 2, which won't be troubling the inside of a cinema anywhere. It's a DVD and Blu-ray premiere for this one, which seems to retread the plot of the original.
It co-stars WWE star Santino Marella, and a trailer for the film has now landed. We...

Damien Sandow was once considered a future main event prospect in the WWE. However, the days of Sandow being involved in relevant feuds and being a sureshot for a future WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign seem to be far behind him. No longer the Intellectual Savior of the Masses, Sandow has lately spent his time on WWE television in a comedy role.
Despite being dealt a bad hand, the former Money in the Bank holder has continued to entertain the masses of the WWE Universe, albeit in a different way. He has spent the past few months impersonating various historical and famous figures, much to the chagrin of fans. While the schtick has provided some mild entertainment and funny moments, it’s baffling as to why Sandow has been stuck with such a useless role — essentially inheriting the comedy spot from the now-retired Santino Marella.
Still, Sandow continues...

Stone Cold Steve Austin, along with quite a few other legends and current stars hosted a panel in celebration of SummerSlam to reveal the roster for WWE 2K15. There wasn’t any gameplay on display, but rather stills of each character’s selection screen portrait, which was a bit disappointing but hey, finally getting a glimpse at who is making the cut is still an event.
Unfortunately, the roster that was shown is noticeably thin. For comparison, there are only a little over 50 wrestlers confirmed in WWE 2K15, while 82 different stars made it into WWE 2K14. Naturally, this has a lot of gamers and wrestling fans upset, and subsequently glossing over some miscommunication between 2K Games, WWE, and even the stars running the panel.
The list that you see below isn’t the full roster, even though that’s what we we were promised to receive. 2K’s website simply...

Just a little over a month after announcing his retirement, former WWE star Santino Marella has already mentioned a possible comeback. Marella called it quits due to lingering neck issues and bid farewell to the WWE during a live event in July. This week he spoke with Chill Magazine about a potential comeback;
“There’s multiple things wrong with my neck. but the stenosis has increased to the point where it has to be fixed. I’m not cleared for physical contact due to the severity of my stenosis, but apparently with a double fusion you actually can return to the ring with four to six months of recovery time,” Marella said regarding his injuries.
Marella said that after he gets surgery he’ll face a four-to-six month recovery process. He noted that he’ll attempt to come back to the ring to have “one of the greatest,...

One of the most entertainingly twisted brawlers in the wrestling business, Mick Foley went to great (sometimes sickening) lengths to entertain wrestling fans.
Despite the soap-opera theatrics of wrestling, Foley nonetheless earned 300 stitches, a broken nose (twice), dislodged teeth, a dislocated jaw and broken bones from head to toe. Oh, and he lost an ear.
Is he a masochist? Actually, he’s a stand-up comedian, and has been for several years now, touring around the world from the UK to Ireland to Australia, and performing for American service-members in the Middle-East and South Korea.
A three-time WWE champion and two-time New York Times #1 best-selling author, Foley’s one-man stage show returns to Canada at the end of this month.
“Hardcore Legend: An Evening with Mick Foley, is by turns uproariously funny, simply surreal, and surprisingly sensitive – a full course meal for the senses, including a Q&A and...

This past Sunday in Toronto, WWE held a live event full of exciting matches and an announcement that was unexpected. When WWE Superstar Santino Marella entered the ring he wasn’t in his ring gear. He was in his street clothes and he was there to deliver an announcement. Santino told the fans that he had suffered another neck injury. It was going to force him to have to retire from active competition immediately.
Santino went on to say that while he doesn’t plan on wrestling anymore he does expect to still be a part of the WWE family. He’ll probably keep on making appearances from time to time. He also mentioned that possibly he could the General Manager on Raw or Smackdown down the road too. He was always a very good talker, so it makes sense that he would continue in some kind of role on WWE TV.
