- Award-winning French film director and cinematographer, Damien has traveled to 60 countries, using his refine aesthetic and personal touch to tell beautiful and strong stories. Driven by his passion for image and his curiosity, Damien has never avoided any kind of adventure, over the years, he filmed whale vomit in Yemen, almost died in Iceland shooting an indie film, been few times surrounded by body guards, got hired on a multi-million dollars Hollywood movie as a cinematographer and won 43 international awards for his works.
In 2010, after shooting a series of documentaries for Qatar television, Damien focused his work on developing a unique and recognizable style that carries beauty through his lens. Passionate about visual he holds himself his camera, enjoy light equipment and small crew, while creating a powerful and deep cinematography always close to the subject. Baynounah Media hired him to create " 7 Emirates" a unique film for the 44th UAE National day celebration, screened at Zayed sport city stadium in front of the crown prince court and 42 000 people.
In 2013 his film "A Love Story", a poetic visual wander in the streets of Hong Kong which tells the loving quest between two lovers and the city, wins Best Director in the famous Cannes Corporates TV & Media Awards over 800 contestants from 80 countries. Starting to be renowned for its powerful images, Yves saint Laurent foundation chooses Damien for his "haute couture" skills to create a film about the YSL Museum Marrakesh construction, inaugurated in 2018.
