In the "Star Trek: Voyager" episode "Investigations", the jolly Neelix (Ethan Phillips), appointed as the U.S.S. Voyager's morale officer, records a video blog called "A Briefing with Neelix." The blog is meant to spread news among the ship's crew and include interviews with various officers, musical performances, updates from the captain, officer commendations from the first officer, and previews of upcoming meals. While this is a fine idea, none of the starship's officers are much interested, as they are a little put off by Neelix's ultra-happy demeanor.
At one point, Neelix approaches Harry Kim (Garrett Wang) about whether or not he had watched the show, interrupting a conversation Kim was having with a junior science officer in the hallway. Kim dismisses the officer, who politely nods and walks away. Neelix and Kim then begin to discuss Neelix's interview program.
The junior officer has no lines, as the actor was not a SAG member.

Updated, 1.28 am with Biden’s arrival in Israel: U.S. President Joe Biden arrived in Israel on Wednesday morning as Middle East tensions ratchet up further following a horrific strike on Gaza’s Al Ahli hospital overnight in which hundreds of people died.
Images relayed on the X account of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu showed Airforce One on the tarmac of Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport. Biden was greeted by Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog. After a warm embrace with Netanyahu, he was whisked off in a black SUV, followed by a fleet of security vehicles.
Tuesday night’s Gaza hospital tragedy is the latest incident in 12 days of violence sparked by Hamas terror attacks on Israel on October 7, in which 1,400 people died. Israel’s retaliatory blockade and bombing of Gaza has resulted in more than 3,000 deaths.

The state-of-the-art facilities were unveiled on Tuesday during a gala event attended by Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, and Princess Rym al-Ali.

The actual plot of Michael Bay's 2009 sci-fi actioner "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is rather oblique. In 17,000 Bce, Transformers used specialized, high-tech, sun-killing solar collectors to gather energy from the galaxy's stars. Their ethical code forbid them from snuffing out stars in solar systems that supported life, but one Transformer defied said ethic to deplete Earth's sun. That Transformer was excommunicated and became the first Decepticon. Fast forward to 2009, and the modern-day Decepticons are intent on activating the ancient solar collector once again. It's hidden inside one of the Pyramids of Giza.
"Revenge of the Fallen" was filmed in several locations in the United States, including Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and remote places in New Mexico, and Arizona. The Pyramid sequences were indeed filmed in Cairo, and the footage of ancient Egyptian cities was filmed in Petra, Jordan. Many filmgoers might recognize Petra from the climax of the 1989 film "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,...

Apparently, Prince William wasn’t at his best when he and Kate Middleton were guests at the royal wedding in Jordan. According to a body language expert, the Prince of Wales treated the Princess of Wales like a “naughty child.”

On June 1, 2023, the Prince and Princess of Wales headed to Jordan for the royal wedding of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Saudi architect Rajwa Al-Saif. There they greeted the bride and groom in a receiving line with other guests trailing behind them.
A harmless royal wedding moment, right? Not exactly. William’s since come under fire for seemingly telling Kate to “chop chop” in an apparent effort to get her to end her conversation with Al-Saif.

Generationally wealthy royals: they're just like us!
Queen Elizabeth II's favorite movie was reportedly Mike Hodges' gloriously campy "Flash Gordon." Her son, King Charles, is apparently a fan of morose singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen. When Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud isn't ordering the mutilation of journalists, he evidently enjoys pro wrestling.
Entertainment is essential. It's what gets us through the drudgery of day-to-day life, and even the most monstrous people who've ever existed require this escapist outlet. Adolf Hitler was a cinephile. So was Joseph Stalin. Donald Trump reportedly loves Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Evita."
King Abdullah II of Jordan is no exception. In 2002, the first child of King Hussein visited Hollywood, and, keen on meeting Steven Spielberg, visited the set of "Catch Me If You Can." He was also a fan of "Shrek," which prompted Jeffrey Katzenberg to give Abdullah II a tour of DreamWorks Animation...

Everyone from Tom Morello to King Abdullah II of Jordan wants to be a part of "Star Trek," though not every guest making a cameo gets a barn burner of a role to show off their acting chops. Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood was so eager to cameo that he agreed to appear as an unrecognizable fish-man — but at least he got to be beamed up!
Other guest stars succeed so well that they become near-permanent fixtures, like Whoopi Goldberg as Guinan, and John de Lancie as Q. Equally poignant, sometimes, are the ones that show up only once and put in an unforgettable performance. Some of them change a story's trajectory or make a lasting effect on a main character's life. Some are terrifying. And some break our hearts. These are 13 of the best one-off guest characters in "Star Trek: The Next Generation." They're not all played by big names.

Thousands gathered in the streets of London to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II at her funeral on Sept. 19. Among the mournful crowd were a few famous faces, including none other than "Grey's Anatomy" alum Sandra Oh, who followed behind the queen's casket as it was transported from the state funeral service at Westminster Abbey to St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle for a committal service. Surrounded by royal family members and world leaders, Oh's appearance at the funeral caught the internet off guard, but the "Princess Diaries" star had good reason to secure an invitation to the queen's funeral.

Allen & Co Hollywood moguls are arriving at the 31st annual Allen & Co investment conference in Sun Valley starting today — and this time there’s something fun awaiting them. For years now the mogulfest has been mostly a showbiz snorefest with not a single entertainment panel on the official schedule. But my sources say this year’s features a Friday media panel consisting of Rupert Murdoch, John Malone, and Barry Diller. In other words, a trio of enemies who have sued or badmouthed each other so much over the years that it’s hard to imagine them sitting in the same room much less conferring politely together. The other sessions appear to be way less enticing: Wednesday: Sports discussion featuring NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell; Presentation by Google co-founder Larry Page.
