Chris Simpson studied art at the School of the Art Institute of
Chicago, entered UT Arlington with an interest in art & graphic
design... but an early screenwriting course and lack of raw talent
changed all of that.
Chris began a focus in film and quickly developed an expertise for all levels of production. Besides producing numerous projects for other students, Chris expanded UTA's Student Film & Video Organization, its annual film festival and initiated a project grant for film students at UTA.
In association with Sai Selvarajan and Johhny Rutledge, Chris now heads up Black Leader Films... a Dallas-based Independent Film Collusion.
