Suits is returning — but this time, it’s leaving the Big Apple behind and is heading to the West Coast.
NBC has released the official trailer for Suits: LA, a spinoff of the beloved drama series Suits, which aired on USA Network from 2011 to 2019 and starred Patrick J. Adams and the now Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. Stephen Amell leads Suits: LA as Ted Black, a former New York prosecutor who now runs his own firm in Los Angeles.
The logline reads: “His firm is at a crisis point, and to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives.”
The trailer opens with Victoria Justice’s Dylan Pryor turning down a deal Black offered her.

One of the best things about The Office was how the characters would interact with the camera, making it seem like a character in itself. While the number one rule of filming is to not break the fourth wall, the actors on the sitcom had a blast doing just that. However, interacting with the camera wasn’t easy for everyone but there was one guest star who blew Steve Carell’s mind way – Amy Adams.

Before she became the beloved Lois Lane, Amy Adams played the role of Katy aka the Hot Girl on The Office. While selling purses and stealing Jim’s heart, the actress managed to do something that is no less than a feat in itself – impress Steve Carell so much so that the man hasn’t forgotten her even after all these years.

Although fans have bid adieu to the weekly release of The Office episodes, the show never truly went away—over the years, Steve Carell’s sitcom has been living through syndication, streaming services, podcasts, and more. But you’ll be stunned to know that when The Office debuted in 2005 on NBC, the sitcom was inches close to getting canceled due to low ratings.

Apparently, there weren’t a lot of expectations surrounding the show, as it was considered yet another American reworking that would destroy the originality of Ricky Gervais’ BBC series. Moreover, there was only one renowned face in the series, and it was Steve Carell, playing Michael Scott. But then, one particular episode from season 2, saved the sitcom earning nearly 10M viewers, leading it to finally make history.

It’s been over a decade since the last season of The Office aired on NBC back in 2013, and yet we couldn’t get over the mockumentary sitcom. From rewatching Steve Carell’s antics as Michael Scott to Jim and Pam’s warm relationship and even Dwight’s shenanigans, the show became an evergreen source of entertainment for fans.

Steve Carell once handed out more than laughs; he handed out spankings. And one Marvel star owes their rise to a hilariously awkward moment in The Office. Yes, the infamous spanking scene might’ve made audiences cringe, but it was a career-launching jackpot for this actor.

The Office is to sitcoms what peanut butter is to jelly – incomplete without each other. Despite the fact that it is based on the UK’s namesake show, the American version found a place for itself in the hearts of comedy lovers around the world. If we are being honest, the show might not have been what it is without Steve Carell, the glue that held everything and everyone together. Thus, when it came to saying goodbye to him in season 7, it was not only hard on the cast, but on us fans as well.

Steve Carell – the only two words a project needs to make sure it will be an undeniable success. Having appeared in countless films and TV shows, the man truly is the epitome of comedic genius. Sure, we love him in dramatic roles but it really is his comic timing that made us fall in love with him. Not only we fans, but his co-stars have time and again praised him for his ability to make others laugh and steal the spotlight anytime he’s in front of the camera.

TV shows need compelling protagonists, but some great shows end up having more interesting supporting characters. The main character is the one who advances the plot and carries the bulk of the show's drama, but this doesn't always guarantee that they will be the audience's favorite. Supporting characters have the opportunity to bring something different to the show, and they are unburdened by the need to directly impact the main plot.
Comedy shows are more likely to have supporting characters who outshine the protagonist. In drama shows, the story is usually too important, so the protagonist has to be the most interesting character or the entire show could fall flat. Comedy offers a bit more leniency, because audiences don't necessarily need to be captivated by the main character's personal journey to enjoy the humor of the show and the subplots.

If any show disproves the idea that all remakes are rubbish, it's The Office. The Steve Carrell-led comedy, which first aired in 2005, was initially met with skepticism. Critics understandably raised concerns about how American optimism would combine with the caustic cynicism of Ricky Gervais' much-loved original, and early reactions suggested that The Office would go the way of other ill-advised trans-Atlantic TV clones. 19 years later, not only has The Office stepped out of the short-lived BBC series' shadow, but that it deserves to be considered on its own terms as one of the all-time great comedy series.

We generally don’t expect sitcom cast members to be involved in global political controversies, hence why stories about the Cuban Missile Crisis featured zero references to Rob and Laura Petrie from The Dick Van Dyke Show. But earlier this year, it was reported that an alleged Russian disinformation campaign targeting the former Soviet republic of Moldova enlisted the help of Dunder Mifflin’s resident accountant/chili handler Kevin Malone, aka actor Brian Baumgartner.
This week, Moldova held a national referendum and ultimately voted to pursue membership in the European Union. The “Yes” vote passed by “the slimmest of margins” — just 50.39 percent. Meanwhile, Moldova’s President Maia Sandu won the first round in the presidential election, but didn’t meet the “50 percent margin needed to avoid a runoff.” The “pro-Western” leader blamed the poor numbers on “unprecedented assault on our country’s freedom and democracy” by “foreign forces.” And at...

There’s no denying that the US version of The Office has maintained its popularity, even after decades, since the show’s finale. So much so, that the series now sparks dubious talk of a reboot every other month. But while the majority of the show’s popularity was based on characters like Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute, and John Krasinski’s Jim, a few have related to characters like Ed Helms’ Andy Bernard.

Introduced in the third season of The Office, Ed Helms’ Andy Bernard joined the Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company, and immediately came off as a doofus and a jerk, rubbing his Ivy League education in people’s faces. However, although Andy outraged a number of fans, the actor behind the character was deeply pleased by his role. So much so that Helms even admitted to relating with his character and aspired to be more like him.

Sometimes, the absence of a TV character was so great that the showrunners had no option but to bring in a replacement to fill the void. There are many reasons this can happen, from actors wanting to move on before interest in the show has started to wane or even behind-the-scenes controversies that mean a vital character must be written off without warning. Occasionally, character replacements, such as the addition of Winston replacing Coach in New Girl, work out well. However, theyre often complete disasters that frustrate viewers who long for the return of the original star.
TV character replacements are different from when a part gets recast, as rather than trying to push a different actor into a previously established role, this is when a new character is created to fill the void. While they often share similarities with their predecessor, this is not always necessary, as some shows...

She’s set to lead Confessions of a Christmas Letter, as Settie Rose, “a quirky family matriarch who enters her town’s annual holiday letter-writing contest,” Deadline reports.
Settie needs help with her letters, so she hires a struggling writer named Juan (Alec Santos).
“When a mix-up leads to the rumor that Juan is engaged to Settie’s daughter Lily (Lillian Doucet-Roche), the whole family scrambles to keep up the charade. As Juan bonds with the Roses and overcomes his writer’s block, Settie learns that embracing her imperfect family is what truly makes her story special,” Deadline shared via a synopsis.
And even better, the film will feature a cameo from one of Angela‘s The Office co-stars.

For nine seasons, The Office, the mocumentary-style comedic television show about a paper distributor located in the humble Scranton, Pa has produced years of laughs and memorable content. We have probably worked with some of the employee caricatures represented at Dunder Mifflin at one time or another. We have the office romance, drama, and situations that we'd often envied.
I mean who wouldn't want a goofy, idiotic boss to work for? Who wouldn't want to be a witness to the office couple whose relationship is less stable than a Jenga set? Who would want to watch the office comedian constantly get one over on the office rat? Today we are going to be looking at the cast back when the show first premiered on March 24, 2005.

James Spader is reportedly set to return as Ultron in the upcoming MCU series Vision Quest. Last seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Spader’s voice and mo-cap work for the character earned critical acclaim and he has been regarded as one of the best antagonists of the franchise.
Spader has reportedly only played two roles since 2015, one being Ultron and the other being his regular role as Raymond Reddington in The Blacklist. While Reddington is iconic for all sorts of reasons, Spader’s role as Robert California in The Office only a few years before remains a classic.

Although The Office is considered one of the greatest sitcoms, it has had its share of awkward moments. Adapted from a British series of the same name, it premiered in 2005 and spanned nine seasons. Nonetheless, some of the humor did not resonate with all viewers.

TV show remakes can surpass originals by introducing new interpretations of characters, like in The Office and Shameless. Some remakes change the tone or setting of the original, like Dynasty moving from Denver to Atlanta and Bel-Air's grittier approach. Veep proves remakes can be successful by maintaining the satirical humor of the original, even with a different name and setting.
There are multiple TV show remakes that, in theory, shouldve been terrible but are actually absolutely great. Many of the best TV shows of all time are remakes, but the definition of remake has varied. Some remakes reuse the same concept as the original but introduce new interpretations of audiences favorite characters, like The Office, whereas others recreate the same story and personalities but with a few detail changes, such as Shameless.

While Star Trek: The Next Generation became the most successful syndicated show for the franchise and introduced it to a whole new generation, some episodes did not quite work well. While the final seventh season had many great moments, one episode seemed to have given the cast a tough time.
Brent Spiner, who played Data in the show, mentioned that his performance in the season 7 episode Masks was ridiculous and drove the whole crew into hysterical laughter. The actor also mentioned that he and Patrick Stewart could not get through the final scene of the episode, angering many crew members.

The Office has given the audience many unforgettable Pam moments that showcase how great of an actor Jenna Fischer truly is. Moments like the iconic “Then it’s a date” scene in the last episode of season two is still etched into television history, but Fischer’s brilliance doesn’t stop there. Fans believe a standout episode in Season 9 was criminally overlooked by the Emmys, as the actor gave it her all.

Plenty of TV shows should have ended earlier to preserve their quality and legacy. Some of the best season finales could easily be series finales. The perfect ending for a show often comes a few seasons before the actual series finale.
There are plenty of TV shows which outstay their welcome, even though they sometimes give themselves the perfect finale before officially wrapping things up. A season finale can often act as a great series finale in hindsight, or a random mid-season may just stumble upon a poignant and beautiful final scene which sums up the entire arc of the show. Unfortunately, not many shows tend to quit while they're ahead.
Shows with disappointing finales can frustrate fans, especially when the same show wasted a potentially brilliant ending a few seasons earlier. When writers are free from the pressure of a series finale, they often inadvertently stumble upon the perfect ending.

New fan art imagines the cast of The Office in their 70s and 80s, 50 years on from the show's premiere. The art features Creed Bratton with dyed black hair in a nod to a joke from the series. The main cast of The Office are unlikely to return in their very own revival, but some actors could reprise their roles in the in-development reboot.
The Office's 50th anniversary is imagined in a new piece of fan art that ages up the main cast considerably. The Office star Rainn Wilson was pranked in a classic Dwight way with his utensils stuck in Jell-o. The prank occurred when Wilson ordered room service at a hotel in Florence. The prank highlights the enduring impact of The Office, made clear by a reboot that's in the works.
The Office veteran Rainn Wilson was pranked the same way his character Dwight was in the beloved show. Throughout The Office's run, Dwight was often pranked by his co-worker Jim Halpert, who was played by John Krasinski. One of Jim's most well-known pranks goes all the way back to The Office's first episode when Dwight finds out that Jim put his stapler in Jell-o. At the end of the pilot, Jim even does the same thing to Steve Carell's Michael, using his favorite mug. The prank has spawned many recreations, including a recent prank on Wilson himself.
Wilson shared the experience on Instagram.

Wilson shared the experience on Instagram.

TV characters should learn and grow each season to face new challenges and storylines. Some characters, like Kelly from The Office, keep repeating the same mistakes in relationships. Clarke from The 100 struggles with making decisions as a leader despite learning lessons about morality.
Learning a lesson is an important part of character development for any fictional character, but some TV characters fail to do so and find themselves learning the same lesson time and time again. For any good TV character, it's essential that they grow and change as each season progresses, and learning a lesson is a crucial step in the process. Many beloved TV characters end up becoming unbearable over time due to changes in storyline and character shifts. Characters like Andy Bernard and Rory Gilmore started off positively but became unlikable as their storylines progressed. The downfall of once-popular characters like John Watson and Daenerys Targaryen showcases the impact of questionable character development.
While the world of TV has introduced some truly relatable characters, some started off that way in their shows but grew to become unbearable and irritating. It's worth noting that character development changes like these can happen for multiple reasons. For example, a show may need to introduce new storylines for a character due to audience pressure, and in the process, they end up changing too much, or a show's central themes may shift as each season progresses, which results in its characters shifting with it.
Of course, just because a character becomes unbearable, this doesn't mean that they are completely unlikable.

Lily's interference causes major relationship problems for her friends in How I Met Your Mother. Some sitcom characters' terrible actions are glossed over, like Andy dating a high school student in The Office. Characters in comedy shows like Modern Family often forgive and forget disturbing behavior that should be addressed.

Sitcom characters are some of the wildest personalities to grace the TV screen, but some of their actions are so unbelievable that it's confusing that they are ever forgiven. The best sitcoms often include brilliant and complex characters for audiences to fall in love with. While they face difficult storylines at times, this is usually a part of character development, and they are better off for it. However, this isn't always the case for some characters whose actions should continue to be highlighted for long after they happen.
