Dez Duron will be making his Broadway debut next month in a new musical alongside Darren Criss!
The 34-year-old singer was a fan-favorite on the third season of NBC’s The Voice and we’re excited to see him back on stage – this time on Broadway.
Dez joined Darren and co-stars Helen J. Shen and Marcus Choi for a photo call to promote the show on Monday (September 16) in New York City. They were joined by Tony-winning director Michael Arden.
Here’s the musical’s synopsis: “Inside a one-room apartment on the outskirts of Seoul, Oliver (Criss) lives a happily quiet life listening to jazz records and caring for his favorite plant. But what else is there to do when you’re a HelperBot 3, a robot that has long been retired and considered obsolete? When his fellow HelperBot neighbor Claire (Shen) asks to borrow his charger, what starts as an...

Reuniting with screen legend Sylvia Chang after HBO Asia series “Twisted Strings”, writer-director Huang Xi (“Missing Johnny”) levels up with her deeply moving second feature, “Daughter’s Daughter”. Executive-produced by Chang and Hou Hsiao-hsien, the film elegantly explores the blurred lines between selflessness and selfishness, through a tale of modern motherhood that poses complex questions of responsibility when faced with sorrow: who is a mother, especially one who has often questioned her own parenting, to decide what to do with her deceased daughter’s unborn child?
Following a dialogue-free opening with Sylvia Chang on the border of New Jersey, the story starts with a prologue in winter 2018. At a Taipei hospital, Chang’s character Jin Aixia (or “Ai” as she’s called sometimes) is waiting in a hospital corridor while a leak in her room is being resolved. Breaking her leg in an accident, she’s potentially going to need surgery.

General Hospital (Gh) spoilers tease that Parry Shen is back onscreen as shady Brad Cooper, Lab Tech Extraordinaire.
Port Charles just hasn’t been the same without Brad and his unique brand of hilarious mayhem. We last saw Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) nephew at the Gh memorial for Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) back in March 2023.
On the Tuesday, August 20 episode fans were shocked to see Brad back at General Hospital, pestering Chief of Staff Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) for a job. Here’s what to know!
General Hospital Spoilers – Bad Boy Brad Cooper Is Back
Brad is nothing if not forward, so the disgraced, fired employee begging for a second chance was not surprising. What was surprising for fans is that there was no inkling of this development.
Brad tried to wheedle his way back into Terry’s good graces and that was a hard ask. She rightfully reminded...

Survivor 46 has seen some big moments during the game so far this season, but there was one moment that happened that put one castaway’s life in danger. This castaway was Venus Vafa and she ended up catching on fire in the middle of the night.
Not only that, but Survivor caught it on video and released it as a behind-the-scenes feature.
Venus Vafa Catches On Fire On Survivor 46
Venus Vafa was part of a big move on Survivor last week. She worked with Kenzie Petty and Maria Gonzalez pulled one over on Tiffany Nicole Ervin when they blindsided her. When she saw her name on the parchment, she said she was shocked at what happened.
Survivor executive producer and host Jeff Probst-YouTube
“When they say blindside, they literally mean blindside,” Tiffany said (via EW). “I was not ready for that at all, but it was almost like an immediate shock.

There’s a running gag in Kung Fu Panda 4 about Po (Jack Black) needing to workshop more profound words of wisdom if he’s going to be a spiritual leader. It’s easy to read it as a meta commentary on the series itself wanting for more depth if it’s going to continue moving forward. The film is a good time, and it doesn’t exactly betray any of Kung Fu Panda’s strengths, but it also exhibits the telltale signs of a series struggling to justify its existence.
In fairness, the sense that Po’s talents might be better utilized elsewhere—like, say, in one of the three (!) Netflix cartoons based on the films—is baked into the plot here, with Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman) telling Po that the time has come to choose a new Dragon Master so that he may spread enlightenment to the rest of his valley.
