Ethan Konner Post
- Actor
At just 11 years old, Ethan Konner Post is known within his social circle as an old soul, likely because a brush with mortality at an early age put him on a fast track to maturity. At age seven, when most children are just learning to read, Ethan was learning to cope with the often-brutal realities of cancer treatment. After doctors diagnosed him with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2019, he underwent several rounds of chemotherapy that thankfully sent the disease into remission.
That battle taught Ethan resilience, gratitude and helped him look for the silver linings in life. But it also gave him a self-awareness that is rare for someone his age. His parents say that he has been a performer since he first learned to talk, but he began his formal study of acting at Catapult Acting Studios in Atlanta in 2020, during his first year of recovery. His acting coaches-Erik Lingvall, Patrick Hogan, Danny Annone, Arhley Brazoban, and Terence Lee-helped him acquire the ability, the confidence, and the professionalism he needed to begin auditioning for parts.
Although Ethan continues to diligently hone his skills through classes and workshops and through one-on-one sessions with Katie Causey at the Alliance Theater, his hard work has begun bearing fruit. His first professional opportunity came in the fall of 2022, when he landed a recurring role on Season 2 of Freeform's Single Drunk Female. A few months later, Ethan played a lead role in the short film Quandering Questions, written and produced by students at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He also recently played in a co-starring role in a Tubi original series called Spilled Paint, written and directed by Brandon Gibson. His favorite project so far has been ONE, a short film written by J. Elvis Herman and directed by the Freise Brothers.
When not acting, Ethan loves hanging out with his friends, exploring the great outdoors, swimming, jumping on the trampoline, rock climbing (indoor), reading, and playing Minecraft and Pokémon video games. He dreams of playing Nico di Angelo, Hades' son, in the Percy Jackson series.
