Marvel Comics is home to a lot of gods, including multiple gods who oversee death, like Hela and Lady Death. The sentient cosmic representation of death is more than capable of handling the dead and dying on its own, yet there are other gods who trample on that responsibility. Whether it’s Death, Hela, or Hades, every god has a role.
Because Marvel is host to so many mythologies, it can be confusing to understand why there is a redundancy of gods. An Abstract Entity, like Death, is a godly cosmic embodiment of a concept, acting as the mystical source for the concept itself. Death, as a living concept, is the reason living things die.
However, the existence of gods like Hela isn’t a redundancy. She, alongside every other god of death, is a living "person" with a job to oversee the collection of their dead followers. She was...

After the conclusion of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, audiences should watch another Disney+ fantasy show that is equally acclaimed: Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The ending of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew aired in January 2025, wrapping up the child-friendly, Amblin-like story set within the long-running franchise. Skeleton Crew's reviews have been excellent, proving it to be one of the more beloved entries into the Star Wars franchise of late thanks to its lovable cast, compelling story, and endearing, heartwarming tone.
However, with the show coming to an end, many will be looking for a new TV show on Disney+. As it turns out, the streaming service already contains a spiritual sister series to Skeleton Crew in the form of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Audiences already familiar with the show are eagerly anticipating Percy Jackson season 2 which began filming in August 2024. Until its release, those looking for a show that...

The God of War series has evolved dramatically over the years, transforming from a rage-fueled vengeance story into an emotionally rich, character-driven narrative about growth and self-reflection. While the community has widely praised this shift, there is a segment of fans who want the fearless anti-hero back.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Player Uncovers Hilarious "Secret" Code For Freebies, Hidden In Plain Sight
Disney Dreamlight Valley has so many characters with a vast array of personalities that players never really know what to expect from these Npc neighbors. Particularly when fulfilling quests for friendship goals, which can center on one specific animated character, some of the dialogue and story that is involved can hold a lot of references or easter eggs, or simply be funny in its delivery. Rarely do the characters truly break the fourth wall, however, such as referencing a code that players can input in their game menu to earn free items.
It isn't unusual for Disney Dreamlight Valley to offer codes for players to plug in and get some rewards from time to time. These can often vary from providing unique furniture items for an event or occasion to simply giving extra crafting materials or money. Age of Mythology: Retold has been a long time coming, and with a new coat of paint, it's important for casual and competitive players alike to know which God is the strongest. The community generally agrees that the competitive scene for the original game favored Set, Ra, and Zeus, but there were a few balance changes between AoM and AoM:r that have shaken this up a bit. That's not to say the whole landscape of the game has changed, and Retold is still relatively fresh, so it'll take a while as players experiment to determine which Gods truly rule.
On release, AoM: Retold includes the original pantheons from AoM; Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Set, Ra, Isis, Odin, Loki, and Thor, along with a few additional Gods that round out the Atlantean pantheon as well. I am braced for heartbreak after Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2's Thalia Grace casting. As a daughter of Zeus (Lance Reddick), and given her history with Annabeth Chase (Leah Jeffries), Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri), and Luke Castellan (Charlie Bushnell), Thalia is poised to be a pivotal character in the series. I was glad that season 1 took time to briefly establish what happened to Thalia, informing both Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) and the audience that she sacrificed herself to save her friends and was transformed into a pine tree that now protects Camp Half-Blood.
The Sea of Monsters, which is what season 2 will adapt, ends with the Golden Fleece healing the poisoned tree, with this magic leading to Thalia being expelled from it. Zeus' daughter only appears at the end of the book, though. However, since Smart has already been confirmed to be playing Thalia in Percy Jackson season...

Wrath of the Triple Goddess is officially on shelves, and the seventh Percy Jackson & the Olympians book revolves around a quest for the goddess Hecate. After the events of The Chalice of the Gods, Percy still needs two recommendation letters to get into New Rome University and Hecate gives him an opportunity to obtain a second one. All Percy and his friends need to do is watch the goddess' mastiff and polecat while she's away. This sounds like an easy task, but it quickly spirals into the usual life-or-death adventure.
Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson books are always introducing new figures from Greek mythology, and Hecate and her pets have intriguing backgrounds. This is why a new narrative surrounding the goddess is so exciting, though it may leave readers questioning how accurate Riordan's character is to the myths she's based on. When watching Netflix's new Greek mythology series, Kaos, audiences will often hear the word 'veros' or 'vero' used.
Kaos is a new black comedy take on the gods of Greek mythology and stars an ensemble of A-listers as the iconic characters, including Jeff Goldblum as Zeus, David Thewlis as Hades, and Janet McTeer as Hera.
In a similar method to Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Kaos mixes the classic myths with modern concepts and sees the gods deal with a range of first-world problems through a comedic lens.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Netflix's Kaos.
By making Riddy unhappy in the relationship and ready to leave Orpheus, Netflix's Kaos makes the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice tragic and impactful in an entirely different way. Kaos weaves together numerous Greek myths, including the minotaur, Caeneus, Dionysus, Hades and Persephone's relationship, Zeus' affairs, Ariadne, and Orpheus and Eurydice's relationship. Eurydice and Orpheus, the classic mythology characters in Kaos, are central to the plot.
Eurydice called Riddy is one of the humans with Zeus' prophecy in Kaos. However, the show makes a significant deviation when it comes to the characterization of Riddy, redefining whats considered one of the most tragic romances ever. Rather than being happily in love, Eurydice wants to leave Orpheus at the time of her death. She has fallen out of love with him. This has significant implications for the characters and plot of Kaos.

After much anticipation, the dark comedy series Kaos, created by the mind behindThe End of the F**ing World, Charlie Covell, finally premiered on Netflix on August 29, 2024! This new original series reimagines Greek mythology with a bold and modern twist, bringing the ancient gods and goddesses into a whole new light.
For those who haven't yet tuned into Kaos, the show centers around Zeus -- the all-powerful King of the Gods -- who spirals into paranoia after discovering a single wrinkle on his forehead. This seemingly small flaw sends him into a tailspin, convinced that his reign is at risk, igniting chaos not just among the gods but throughout the mortal world as well.
Since its release, Kaos has quickly become a fan favorite, captivating viewers with its witty storytelling, unique take on classic myths, and an ensemble cast that truly brings these legendary characters to life.

Popular characters like Nico di Angelo and Rachel Elizabeth Dare have yet to appear in Disney's Percy Jackson TV show. The expansion of the Percy Jackson universe might mean including Roman demigods from The Heroes of Olympus. The show could include characters from spinoffs like The Kane Chronicles and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians saw a fantastic first season with great main characters, but the story still has many more amazing people to introduce. In addition to there being four more books with new characters in Rick Riordan's flagship Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, the bestselling author wrote some spinoffs set in the same world. This includes The Heroes of Olympus and The Trials of Apollo, both also focusing on Greek and Roman mythology, as well as the Norse mythology-inspired Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard books and the Egyptian series The Kane Chronicles.

Let me make this very clear at first: I am no expert in Greek mythology. We’re talking about Kaos here, which is the Netflix-ication of Greek mythology, and it works wonderfully. I’m sure Charlie Covell had a very exciting pitch for Netflix about the show (having a hit series in the form of The End of the F***ing World certainly helped them), and half the battle was won with the casting of Jeff Goldblum as Zeus. We’re going to look into Zeus and the other characters in this article and draw a comparison between the show’s version and Greek mythology. I’ve done quite a bit of research for this one, in case you’re wondering.

Warning: This article contains Spoilers for Netflix's Kaos.
Kaos episode 2 shows Riddy getting stuck in the Afterlife without her gold coin, a piece of worldbuilding that shows creator Charlie Covells attention to detail when weaving real Greek mythology into the show. Netflixs dark comedy centers on the head of Mount Olympus Jeff Goldblums Zeus and three humans who have the potential to take him down. Based on the premise alone, Charlie Covell clearly drew from Greek mythology in some manner. However, Disneys Hercules proves that taking inspiration from myths doesnt mean maintaining an ounce of accuracy.
Luckily, Covell took a much more loyal approach to the myths when they wrote the script, creating a new story while capturing the spirit of the originals. Their deep love for the myths is abundantly apparent based on the Easter eggs and references hidden throughout the series. However, its also apparent from worldbuilding...

Success of shows like Ragnarok and American Gods paved the way for reimagination of established world myths in a modern setting, but the air of seriousness in the tone and usual action-adventure structure of such narratives greatly hindered the possibilities of exploration of new ideas. In that context, Charlie Covell’s dark comedy series, Kaos, a satirical, topical retelling of the Greek mythological lore set against a contemporary backdrop, shows the potential of innovation in storytelling by showcasing the similarity between real-world complications of class, social structure, segregation, and governance and the stuff of myths and epics in a quirky, unique way. Without depending on spectacle, solely driven by a taut plotline and well-written characters, Kaos is surely going to be a strong contender among top original media released on Netflix.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Kaos season 1 on Netflix.Netflix's Kaos puts a dark and comical spin on Greek mythology, and its gods seem committed to maintaining their power at all costs especially Jeff Goldblum's Zeus. Most of the immortal characters in Netflix's Kaos don't concern themselves with the wellness of human beings, and this is evident in how they trick them into believing their lives and deaths have meaning. Although many humans worship the Greek gods and goddesses, Zeus and his kin use them to preserve their own immortality.
Given how fearful Zeus is of his prophecy one that suggests his downfall is imminent perhaps it's no surprise that he'll go to such great lengths to ensure his continued survival. Zeus uses something called Meander to prolong his lifespan and preserve his power in Netflix's Kaos. Meander plays a prominent role in the god's story, but the show...

Plot: Having long enjoyed his status as King of The Gods, Zeus’ reign has never been truly threatened. That is until he wakes up one morning and discovers a wrinkle on his forehead. Believing it to be the harbinger of an ancient prophecy which foretells his destruction, neurosis sets in: Zeus becomes convinced his fall is coming. As his paranoia takes hold, the God of Gods – seeing signs everywhere – starts to dangerously self-destruct. And he’s right to be worried. Zeus’ one time friend and now prisoner, Prometheus, is orchestrating a plan to bring him down. The plan involves three disparate humans, all of whom are totally unaware of their cosmic significance or the part they must play in saving the world. No pressure. (Some pressure).

By the sound of it, Netflix’s new modern adaptation of Greek mythology is all-encompassing, especially if you’re a stranger to the well-chiseled and ethereal gods of the Greek pantheon. But if you’re not new to this world of gods, then you’ll know that the lot we’re seeing in Kaos is only a handful of them. Already, it feels like a lot to me, but it’s still worth your time. With that said, though, what we’ve seen thus far is only the tip of the proverbial snow-capped mountain (Mount Olympus?), while the massive land mass beneath the snowline is yet to be discovered. But this doesn’t mean nothing happens in the first season. In fact, it’s an exciting piece of media that is well-paced and gives us exactly enough information to crave for more. There are certain characters that you want to root for,...

Kaos is basically about Zeus, the king of gods, and how his hunger for power destroys his reign. The Netflix modernized mythological retelling is perfectly entertaining and also quite original; it uses the gods in the most humanized way and brings them down to Earth, quite literally. In this world, the gods roam the Earth as and when they please and bring chaos with them. Zeus starts to panic when the Trojans rebel against the gods and desecrate the great art installation for the Olympians. The reason this terrifies Zeus is because there’s a prophecy that basically foretells his doom, and where does this start? When humans start to think the gods are not worth it. What Zeus doesn’t realize is that the Trojans are warring with him because he didn’t protect them, and they had everything stolen from them. The dude’s so stuck up that...

Netflixs new dark comedy Kaos is a contemporary retelling of Greek mythology, packed with twists and turns that send important messages about shifting power. The show first introduces viewers to the narrator Prometheus the god of the gods Zeus his wife Hera and his son Dionysus. After establishing the world of Greek gods and their powers, Kaos introduces characters with less power but are just as important Riddy, Caeneus, and Ari. These three humans have the same prophecy as Zeus, which isnt supposed to be possible.
Within the first episode, Riddy dies and goes to the underworld. However, she becomes trapped in the Underworld alongside Caeneus. Meanwhile, the gods try to manipulate Ari and her father, Minos, on Earth. Ari lives with debilitating guilt because she killed her twin at birth. All three of these humans start to learn that the things they know to be true arent as they seem.

Netflix comedy Kaos occasionally feels like it’s stepped out of the same universe as “Sandman.” No, I know it’s much more colorful and, well, “chaotic,” but maybe it’s the act of bringing gods to life with English accents and eccentric fashion that makes me think that way. But with that said, I think the show is a well-executed comedy that at the heart of it is about our basic human “feelings;” love, power, jealousy, hatred, you know the works. The show delivers two simple messages: worship isn’t going to get you anywhere, and power doesn’t last forever. But it’s action-packed and a lighthearted retelling, or should I say, a fictional retelling of Greek mythology that expands the story that we are already familiar with. In the world of Kaos, prophecies are what people live and die for, so we’ve got to keep that...

Playing like Percy Jackson for grownups, with a dash of American Gods and Hadestown thrown in for good measure, Netflix’s dark comedy Kaos is packed with big ideas that creator Charlie Covell struggles to explore in any depth.
Over eight hour-long episodes, my response to Kaos and its often clever upending of mythological tropes went from “That’s really cool, I can’t wait to see what they do with that” to “That’s interesting, but I know it won’t go anywhere” to “Meh.” With an impressive cast, a cheeky tone and little investment in substantive follow-through, the show goes from promising to frustrating to disappointing — albeit with tantalizing hints throughout of what could have been.

Kaos is an eight-episode British comedy-drama that retells Greek mythology with a modern twist. Zeus, the King of the Gods, is imagined as a tracksuit-wearing immortal being who is terribly insecure about losing his power and overzealous about sex. His wife and sister, Hera, the goddess of marriage, is imagined as a jealous wife who turned Zeus’ many lovers into bees. Hera’s complex relationship with Dionysus is also hinted at in the series. Dionysus, the god of fertility, festivity, and insanity, is aptly dressed in flashy clothes, jewelry, and hard-to-miss blonde streaks. Dionysus had grown weary of his father’s lack of seriousness when it came to him. He was desperate to win Zeus’ respect, and he decided to find a purpose and make his father proud. The story of Kaos is narrated by the god of fire, Prometheus. Known as a champion of mankind, Prometheus defied the Olympian gods,...

The incredible ensemble cast of Netflix's Kaos gives memorable and hilarious performances, bringing to life Ancient Greek myths with a contemporary twist. The dark comedy Kaos follows Riddy (Eurydice), Ceaneus, and Ari (Ariadne) who are fated to bring down the Greek Gods, led by Jeff Goldblum's Zeus. The series has a sharp script, utilizes exciting cinematography, and incorporates a strong soundtrack all of which help make the series so strong.
However, none of these aspects would have mattered if it weren't for the great performances by the cast. Kaos brings together a large ensemble cast of predominantly well-established actors who masterfully characterize the Greek gods, goddesses, and heroes. However, some actors with smaller portfolios rise to the occasion of representing well-known figures from mythology in Kaos.

There’s no doubt we all have that one game that we can’t stop going back to again and again. Many titles in the current gaming landscape, like The Witcher 3, are specifically built with this in mind, having players experience the game in short bursts. Other projects, such as Red Dead Redemption, are so good that players can’t help but play it once in a while.
Games with infinite replayability are undoubtedly essential for the soul. We get so used to every aspect of the experience, and playing it again feels like going to a warm, relaxing bath. The game can prove to be so fun that it’s borderline addiction.
So, let’s take a look at a few games that offer ample motivation to dive into more than once.

A new Netflix series is coming out at the end of the month and the trailer was just released!
Kaos is a new Netflix series created by Charlie Covell, who was also the writer of another Netflix show, The End of the F***ing World.
This new show stars Jeff Goldblum as Zeus, king of the Gods and all powerful. The premise of Kaos is that Zeus has been ruling carefree and never truly felt threatened. That is until a wrinkle on his forehead appears that he believes to be a sign of his inevitable fall from power. While this could all just be Zeus’ paranoia, there may be some truth to his fears when it’s revealed that an old friend turned prisoner, Prometheus, is hatching a plot to destroy him.

No one knows chaos theory like Jeff Goldblum. In Netflix‘s new Kaos trailer, the seriously sauve actor is about to teach a lesson in vengeance, disorder, and the consequences of messing with the natural order, his order. In that case, Netflix is about to unleash a distraction of epic proportions, thanks to a new series about faith, defiance, and owning up to one’s mistakes.
