Matthew stars as a series regular alongside Kaitlin Olson in Drew Goddard's hit new ABD drama, "High Potential." He plays 'Elliot Radovic,' the sweet, quirky and socially awkward middle child who has inherited his mother's active brain, for better or worse.
On the feature front, Matthew portrays naughty 'Claude Herdman' in Lionsgate's upcoming holiday film, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," directed by Dallas Jenkins. The movie is based on Barbara Robinson's iconic book of the same name, published in 1972.
Matthew has also filmed his first lead role in the upcoming feature, "Going for Two," with Julianne Hough. He stars as 'Jimmy Moriarty, a fatherless 12-year-old boy, embarking on a quest for his "manhood," against the backdrop of a college football team's National Championship game in 1983.
Originally from Iowa City, Iowa, Matthew first appeared on television in Season 2 of the Emmy Award-winning series, "Only Murders in the Building," where he guest-starred as 'Little Charles-Haden Savage' (the young version of Steve Martin's character). He made his feature debut as 'Jackson' in Paramount's psychological supernatural horror film, "Smile." He also appeared with Academy Award-nominee Jesse Eisenberg in the drama thriller, "Manodrome," which premiered at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival.
Matthew is a true triple threat with significant theater experience. For his portrayal of 'The Little Boy' in Signature Theatre's production of "Ragtime," he was nominated for a 2024 Helen Hayes Award nominee in the category of Outstanding Supporting Performer. Matthew reprises his role in New York City Center's production of "Ragtime" in the Fall of 2024. He previously performed on stage with Tony winners Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez in the role of 'Frank Jr.' in the Off-Broadway production of "Merrily We Roll Along" at New York Theatre Workshop. He starred as 'Young Ray' in regional productions of the play "Tommy & Me" alongside Emmy winner Gordon Clapp, and he has appeared in the musicals "Freaky Friday," "A Christmas Story," "School of Rock" and "Barnum."
Matthew has worked professionally as a voiceover artist for commercials and on a variety of animated series for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Nickelodeon and Disney.
