Actresses Yvette Nicole Brown and Kym Whitley suggested that criticism of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass over her handling of the L.A. wildfires is racist.
“Let me tell you something, she’s got a spine of steel,” Brown told TMZ. “And she’s also been a black woman in America for a long time, so none of this is new to her. We are mad, because we’re tired of it.”
“We’re mad for her,” Whitley declared.

Yvette Nicole Brown is taking Khloe Kardashian to task.
While Kim Kardashian’s tone-deaf response to the Los Angeles wildfires isn’t going over well, she’s not the only member of the family who’s in hot water — so to speak.
See, Khloe decided that now was the time to take aim at the LA mayor. A weird time for that, especially from a member of a family that actually endorsed Rick Caruso.
Yvette is pointing out that maybe Khloe is the last person to talk about this specific topic. It’s not even about politics.

As the last week of December approaches and viewers prepare for the upcoming animated movies of 2025, it's time to look back at the past year for the best animated movies of 2024. While a recent update about the release window of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-verse, the current most-anticipated animated movie, practically confirms that there won't be a release date for another 2 years, 2024 has still been very exciting for animation, with the release of sequels to many beloved franchises.
Every animated movie released in 2024 didn't make as big a stir in the box office or among critics as they were supposed to, but there have been some noteworthy surprise hits. While Kung Fu Panda, Inside Out, Moana, and Despicable Me got anticipated sequels, the Transformers franchise branched out into animation, and The Wild Robot got critical and commercial success beyond what anyone had imagined it would.

Hollywood Squares officially returns in January and will bring a star-studded lineup of guests to entertain viewers and, hopefully, help out contestants.
The popular game show is a variation of tic-tac-toe and features celebrities called upon to help contestants answer questions for an “X” or “O” in their square.
Among those seated in the squares are talk show host Drew Barrymore and The Price Is Right host Drew Carey.
While CBS Mornings star and former NFL player Nate Burleson hosts the returning game show, Barrymore will be the center square throughout the episodes.
And it seems nobody is safe from receiving comedic jabs from various individuals around them.
In a hilarious new teaser for the show, Barrymore and Carey get roasted by fellow celebrity guests.

In a new preview of the Hollywood Squares reboot, viewers see some humorous moments from the upcoming game show.

While a great TV protagonist helps drive a series, the side characters are just as essential to a show’s success. As supporting characters add comic relief, help guide and inform the lead, or even partake in fantastic B-plots, it’s often the case that the side characters slowly reveal themselves to be more engaging and entertaining than the main one. Although this can hint that a show has focused on the wrong area, there can also be too much of a good thing and that their role works best with more limited screen time.
Many of the best shows ever feature side characters who audiences actually like more than the lead, as this is an example of good writing across the board rather than just for one charismatic protagonist. Sitcoms are a great example of where side characters often overtake the main one, as the top-billed star is commonly...
