Shanel Bailey
- Actress
Actress, singer, and dancer, Shanel Bailey is a proud NYC native, hailing from Queens, and a Syracuse University Musical Theatre graduate. One month after her college graduation, she joined the cast of "The Book of Mormon" on Broadway as a Nabulungi understudy and ensemble member. She can be seen in the hit TV show "The Equalizer" starring Queen Latifah, "The Good Fight", & "That Damn Michael Che" on HBO Max. She makes her series-regular debut as Hazel in the new Paramount + series "Grease: Rise Of the Pink Ladies"!
Born to Jamaican immigrant parents and raised by her single-mother, Shanel always had a flair for theatrics and was constantly encouraged to dream big. Always wanting to "do it all", she explored her many interests of dance, fashion, writing, gymnastics, and even pediatrics until attending Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School where her love of Musical Theatre grew. She hopes to build the legacy of an esteemed triple-threat, with a career than spans across stage, screen, and beyond.
