Will Trent season 2 officially wrapped it all up a few weeks ago, proving that the next installment won’t be into the titular character’s work details that much anymore. The latest season showed Will Trent dealing with a huge dilemma that possibly ruined his personal happiness, as the character opted for following his moral principles and arresting his love interest Angie Polaski who’d lied about not covering up Crystal’s crime.
Now that their relationship is at stake and Angie may end up behind the prison bars, the show’s creators have once again reassured that the upcoming third season will indeed become some kind of emotional rollercoaster.
Following Will Trent’s season 2 finale, the show’s cast and producers gathered to discuss what the future may hold for the next installment. Angie’s actress Erika Christensen revealed that she’s expecting some big plot twists that will...

Will Trent will be back for another go-round. Amid strong ratings, ABC has renewed the drama series, starring Ramón Rodríguez, for a third season.

The sophomore drama recently reached its highest rated episode ever on March 5, delivering 9.02 million total viewers in seven-day metrics. Since Season 1, the show has reached nearly 70 million total viewers across platforms.
Will Trent received an early Season 2 renewal last year on the heels of Season 1’s promising performance. The series led the ABC freshman pack as the No. 1 new drama in total viewers (9.9 million) and adults 18-49 (1.65 rating) after 35 days of viewing across linear and digital platforms.

Not always empirically good, but better than the bland title and awful opening sequence might lead you to suspect, ABC’s Will Trent quickly emerges as an above-average broadcast TV procedural — even if it’s exactly those structural trappings that so frequently undermine it.
As middlebrow popular lit adaptations go, Will Trent delivers a distinctive main character and leading performances, a promising ensemble and — based off the first two episodes — it appears easily capable of appealing to the same audience that found comfort in Netflix’s Lincoln Lawyer and Amazon’s Reacher.
Named with the same strategy that gave us Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector on NBC for a couple of months back in 2020, Will Trent is based on a long-running series of Atlanta-set novels by Karin Slaughter — a fact that existing fans probably still could have deduced with a more vivid title.

ABC has picked up drama pilot Will Trent (working title) to series for a midseason launch. Will Trent, starring Ramón Rodríguez, is one of four 2022 ABC drama pilots whose production was targeted for off-cycle and the first of the bunch to land a series order.
Will Trent emerged as an early front-runner in what ABC calls “second cycle” as part of its year-round development strategy. There was a small hiccup in the final stretch, which I hear was over the nature of storytelling, but the pilot remained on track for a pickup. In anticipation of a series order, writers have been working on scripts for the past three weeks. Decision on ABC’s other strong second cycle drama contender, The Company You Keep starring Milo Ventimiglia, has not been made yet. The network last month passed on the untitled therapist drama pilot written by Kay Oyegun.

In Will Trent, written by Liz Heldens and Dan Thomsen based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling book series, Special Agent Will Trent (Rodríguez) of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations was abandoned at birth and endured a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system. But now, determined to use his unique point of view to make sure no one is abandoned like he was, Trent has the highest clearance rate in the Gbi.
McLaughlin will play Michael, raised upper-middle class in the Atlanta suburbs, served overseas in the Army until an injury sent him home, where he’s now a Detective with the Apd. He has the vibe of a man who grew up watching tough-guy, anti-hero cops and is...

Liz Heldens and Dan Thomsen are set to write and executive produce the pilot. Slaughter will also serve as an executive producer. 20th Television is the studio.
The first book in the “Will Trent” novel series, “Triptych,” was published in 2006. The most recent entry, “The Silent Wife,” was published in 2020. There are now 10 books in the series in total.

Sweetwater, the dusty old town at the heart of HBO’s Westworld series, may be marketed as a self-contained haven where fantasies become reality. But there are times when things don’t go according to plan, often resulting in a dark series of events that stem from Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins).
This time, it involves a missing host, a story arc that will play out in full with the premiere of “The Stray,” the third installment of Westworld‘s inaugural season. Included in the gallery above are pics of Elsie and Stubbs plotting course for the outback, while Teddy and Marti (Bojana Novakovic) make tracks in a different direction, potentially putting Dolores in a spot of bother. There’s also a chilling photo of Robert Ford musing in his office – one decorated with a collection of lifeless, downright creepy artificial faces.

“Westworld’s” second episode revealed a deeper level to the game that left many viewers with even more questions, as Liz Shannon Miller noted in her episode review.
Thanks to newcomers William (Jimmi Simpson) and Logan (Ben Barnes), audiences learned more about what it’s like to be a guest in the Western-themed amusement park, as well as that there’s more to these hosts than what’s pre-programmed in them. Ahead of “Westworld’s” third episode, titled “The Stray,” HBO released several new images and two new posters.

Once Upon A Time, Season 3, Episode 9: “Save Henry”
Written by Christine Boylan & Daniel T. Thomsen
Directed by Andy Goddard
Airs Sundays at 8pm (Et) on ABC
There is no time for any slow pacing this week as Once Upon a Time quickly straps us in and shoots out of the gate. Right from the start, “Save Henry” shows potential to be the best episode of season three.
Aside from a quick visit into the past Enchanted Forest, the episode mostly deals with the group saving Henry and Pan’s doings on Neverland. The backstory is a nice little treat; it shows us how Regina came to adopt Henry and the early years of their life together. This is exciting for two reasons. One, we get to see Storybrooke once again. After visiting it briefly a few episodes ago, it’s great to be back with everyone there. The second...

Once Upon A Time, Season 3, Episode 5: “Good Form”
Written by Christine Boylan & Daniel T. Thomsen
Directed by Jon Amiel
Airs Sundays at 8pm (Et) on ABC
“Good Form”, this week’s episode of Once Upon a Time, is all about Hook. The present day storyline as well as the past story arc have to do with one central person, and that is none other than our dear old captain himself.
Everything pretty much flows together seamlessly. The acting is phenomenal, as usual. “Good Form”, however, is just another filler episode for Once Upon a Time. It is there to move the plot along and get things that need to be done, done. Colin O’Donoghue is given a chance in the spotlight and he takes hold of it with no reservations. Since his appearance in season two, O’Donoghue has always managed to captivate us. He plays Hook with incredible grace,...

Once Upon A Time, Season 2, Episode 15: “The Queen is Dead” Written by Daniel T. Thomsen & David H. Goodman Directed by Gwyneth Horder-Payton Airs Sundays at 8pm (Et) on ABC - Drama? Check. Action? Check. Nail-biting suspense? Double check. Once Upon a Time is back after a one week hiatus. It’s strapping us in tight and not holding anything back. The episode brings us to past Enchanted Forest where we are introduced, for the first time, to Snow White’s mother. Another great casting choice by the creators Rena Sofer looks and plays the part of Snow’s mother perfectly. Making us actually believe that she could be Bailee Madison or Ginnifer Goodwin’s mother. The episode mostly focuses on events in Storybrooke and things taking place in New York City with Emma, Henry, Rumplestiltskin and Baelfire. The writers take us on a different journey with this episode, than the last.

Written by Kalinda Vazquez & Daniel T. Thomsen
Directed by Ron Underwood
Airs Sundays at 8pm (Et) on ABC
If there is one thing you don’t want to do it is make Cora angry. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what Captain Hook did, which in turn caused Cora to bring forth her army of undead. Can we just take a time out to say, Creepy! And with that Cora issues her army to go find Snow, Emma, Aurora, and Mulan.
After a quick glimpse of Cora being delightfully evil, we are taken to the four girls (Snow, Emma, Aurora, and Mulan) where it is confirmed by Aurora that she was actually speaking to Henry in the netherworld. Up until recently Aurora has simply just been there, going along with the other three on the journey. It’s a nice change to...

Once Upon A Time, Season 1, Episode 10: “7:15 A.M.”
Story by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz
Written by Daniel T. Thomsen
Directed by Ralph Hemecker
Airs Sundays at 8pm (Et) on ABC
Another week devotes itself to the story of Snow White and Prince Charming. In the real world, we see Mary Margaret pine after (stalk) David every morning at 7:15 A.M. when he orders his coffee for himself and his wife. Meanwhile, Emma tries to find out what Storybrooke’s new and unexpected visitor is doing in town after Regina finds the man talking to Henry. In the fairy tale world, Snow White and Prince Charming face adversity to their love as the Prince prepares to marry King Midas’s daughter.
The real world usually mirrors the fairy tale, and this week is no different. However, the real world proves more entertaining due to the fact that it takes place in the present.
