N. Dann Moss is an experienced Producer, Entertainment Attorney, Personal Manager, Consultant, and Senior Executive.
Dann produced Israel's 70th Anniversary Gala Concert and Two-Hour TV Special in Jerusalem on May 13th, 2018 which aired on Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) that fall.
Israel's 70th Anniversary was Executive Produced and Co-Written by Dann. It was hosted by Pat Boone and featured a special video tribute by Barbra Streisand, and performances by the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and an all-star cast.
Since 2017, Dann has served as a Consultant to NeuroSigma (www.neurosigma.com), a life sciences company which has developed an FDA approved medical device to transform medical practice and patients' lives. Dann has also served as a Consultant to Monarch Biosciences, Inc (Monarch Bio) which has developed a unique platform for local delivery of cell therapies treating solid tumors. Dann performs as a valuable advisor and provides fund-raising for both companies.
Dann produced the successful play "The Trial of Jane Fonda", starring Anne Archer in London, 2016 and in Edinburgh in 2015.
Dann also produced with MosFilm and Fora-Film in Russia two feature films; "Bukharin - Enemy of the People" - the first United States/Russian feature film to be filmed in the United States & Russia and "10 Years Without The Right to Correspond" AKA "Burn The Kremlin". (2020) Dann heads up The Carpe Diem Group, LLC Management and Production Company (www.carpediemgroupllc.com). They represent; legendary Singer and performer, Vikki Carr, Pat Boone, Dr. Art Ulene, former NBC health specialist and leading aging specialist, Dionna Chambers, Newscaster, Dr. Zena Gabriel, leading celebrity dermatologist, and the very talented top-selling writer John Huddy among several others. Some of Dann's former clients include Jim Nabors, Roger Miller, Paul Williams, Harry Nilsson, Sylvie Vartan, Debby Boone and Fred Travalena.
Dann was a co-founder and partner in the Law Firm of Thompson, Shankman, Bond and Moss. The firm specialized in the entertainment and communication industries. Dann then began his own practice discovering and building new artists, negotiating television, publishing, licensing and recording agreements and producing international television specials and motion pictures.
Dann moved to New York and joined Frette as CEO and General Counsel for North America to expand the Frette Fine Linens brand and create new product lines in the American marketplace. Frette, a 130- year-old manufacturer of fine linens, had been unsuccessful in making a profit in the U.S. But, under Dann's leadership, while utilizing his relationships in the entertainment industry, Frette achieved profitability in one year. Frette then moved Dann to New York where he increased sales by more than 300%, expanded the number of boutiques from 2 to 20, developed and negotiated the licensing, distribution and leases for the "Home Collection", and implemented the U.S. warehouse operation for wholesale, retail, and hotel divisions. Dann identified new markets in wholesale, retail, and hotels, and implemented market strategies for development of ancillary products including a corporate gift division. Dann also expanded the Hotel division by negotiating strategic alliances with the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, and Peninsula hotel chains.
While in New York, Dann returned to the entertainment industry to become President of TimeSpan Entertainment, owner of internationally recognized archives of Paramount News and Pathe News Films, where he enhanced the value of the entire collection by developing a new marketing strategy and producing non-fiction television programs for Discovery, A&E, and Turner Broadcasting from these archives. Dann negotiated and structured complex licensing agreements granting producers and corporations such as Microsoft, Discovery, A&E and TBS access to large blocks of copyrighted film and tape images from the TimesSpan/Grinberg Film collection for inclusion in products to be distributed worldwide.
Dann's success led him to produce other large scale, high profile events for television, including "World Premier of Paris Fashion" (Co-Producer), featuring collections of Dior, Chanel and Givenchy which aired on ABC. Under his new banner, Third Millennium Entertainment programmed for TBS, Dann directed, wrote and produced, "America's Favorite Commercials". Dann also produced for Lifetime, ("Portrait of Stefanie Powers"), ABC, Gateway Computers, and the Turkish Television (TGRT) Grand Opening Hosted by Roger Moore.
Dann then founded two video production companies, Dreamvideo and Tapestry Video, which created landmark award-winning series and music events with major partners, including Windham Hill, Pioneer, and Paramount Home Television (see the 13 Programs below).
Dann was President and Co-founder of inshop.com, a 24-hour website and phone service for consumers, providing a one-stop destination for discovering every retailer's offerings in their local area. He developed the initial business plan and test-marketed with retailers. Responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, Dann negotiated strategic partnerships with iVillage and AOL Digital City, to develop marketing, sales and advertising in 51 cities in the U.S. with an affiliate in London. Before the company was acquired, he had developed inshop.com as one of the most extensive on-line databases of stores, websites, catalogs, and gift ideas.
Dann moved to McLean, VA and was designated Media Patron of the United States Centennial of Flight funded by the US Congress.
Then, as SVP of the USO, Dann was also the architect of and executed the first Network Television Special since Bob Hope, "Tour of Duty" for the USO on ABC, starring Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey including Special Guest Stars, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Kimmel and Big & Rich. Dann negotiated the first ever fee paid to USO; with USO public service announcement in prime time; access and rights to footage for USO purposes and DVD's to all USO centers and hospitals.
Dann packaged and guided the major USO international and domestic tours, concerts, and TV, with celebrities including; Toby Keith, Gary Sinise, Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey, Rascal Flatts, Hootie and the Blowfish, Motley Crue, Meatloaf, Wayne Newton, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and NBA & NFL players.
Dann also consulted with Baker and McKenzie regarding Baharicom/Uhurunet and the first sub-sea fiber optic cable network planned for the entire African Continent.
In addition, Dann was retained to consult in the development and production of a live concert and television special in Accra, Ghana, entitled "Africa Life Aid" which included overseeing the creative, technical and legal assistance in the production, as well as staging and securing performers. While in Washington, D.C., Dann was the former Entertainment Consultant and Outside Counsel for WIN TV, a satellite broadcast company and COO & General Counsel for CDI, Inc., a Non-Profit and parent of WIN TV. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Cum Laude and the LaVerne College of Law, Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude.
