Michael James Mina is an Actor/Filmmaker working under the direction of Tony Savant at Playhouse West Philadelphia Theater Company. He has made over 180 short films/skits on YouTube prior to working with Tony Savant. Since then, he has begun making more substantial projects. The first iteration of his film, "Reel Look", which he directed, starred in, and edited in a 25 day period, won the following awards at the Playhouse West 25 day film festival: Best Film of Festival, Best Director, Best Art Direction, Best Editing. Since then, he re-edited the film and submitted it to the Annual Playhouse West Festival, where it won the Audience Choice Award for Best Comedy. He also directed "Leopards", a film written by Edward William Wasser, the writer of "Gun", which won "Best Film of the Month" at the Independent Short Awards.
Michael has since won Best Director for "Leopards" at the Playhouse West Philadelphia Film Festival 2020. As an actor, Michael has played the lead in multiple theater productions, including an Off-Off-Broadway show in which he played Peter Pan.
