One of the most viral seasons of “America’s Got Talent” in recent memory has come to an end. Did you correctly predict the finale results? Quick-change artist Solange Kardinaly came into finale night with enormous online support, but she failed to eke out a victory and actually finished in fourth place. Instead, singer Richard Goodall, an inspirational school janitor from Indiana, was named the winner of Season 19. (Watch our interview with Richard right here.)
As for the rest of the Top 5, comedian Learnmore Jonasi placed fifth, drone group Sky Elements placed third, and dog act Roni Sagi & Rhythm was the runner-up. The finale results were announced by host Terry Crews at the end of the September 24 episode in front of a live studio audience and judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Howie Mandel.

“America’s Got Talent” is TV’s only competition show that embraces all forms of variety acts, whether you’re a singer, a comedian, a magician, an aerialist, or anything in between. Throughout its nearly two decades on NBC, seven solo singers have claimed victory, with the most recent one being Season 14’s Kodi Lee. (See the “AGT” winners list.) However, there are four specific categories that have yet to win the top prize of $1 million and a headline show in Las Vegas. Can any of these types of acts make “AGT” history during the Season 19 finale on Tuesday, September 24?
First up, here’s a refresher on this year’s Top 10 finalists: singer Richard Goodall, quick-change artist Solange Kardinaly, air-dance group Airfootworks, dance crew Brent Street, singer Dee Dee Simon, acrobatic group Hakuna Matata Acrobats, comedian Learnmore Jonasi, dog act Roni Sagi & Rhythm, aerial duo Sebastián & Sonia, and drone group Sky Elements.

The ultimate “America’s Got Talent” honor is rarely bestowed. But when it is, there’s few things as thrilling in all of reality-competition television. Here, we break down each Golden Buzzer act from the show’s 16th season.
Northwell Health Nurse Choir (June 1)
What makes this choir of 18 from New York so special is that they’re all frontline nurses. “The hardest part was seeing these patients alone. They couldn’t have their families with them, so we stepped in as their family,” one of its members said.
Taking the stage, nurse Winnie Mele said, “We know that there is a lot of us out there that are still hurting, and we’re hoping to just shoot out some joy and some love, and to let them know that we found our resilience — and we’re hoping that they do as well.”

“America’s Got Talent” is no stranger to quick-change performers, but until Léa Kyle showed up, “AGT” had never seen a quick-change magician. That’s what judge Heidi Klum decided Kyle was, when she gave the 25-year-old contestant her Golden Buzzer on Tuesday’s episode of the NBC competition.
Kyle, who is a French native, performed an amazing quick-change routine to “Swish Swish” and “Part of Me” by Katy Perry, moving in and out of outfits so quickly that it was invisible to the naked eye. Klum was so taken with Kyle’s ability to swap her clothes faster than a model backstage at an haute-couture show that she decided Kyle deserved to move right on to the “AGT” Season 16 live shows.
Of course, Kyle almost died of excitement when she got the Golden Buzzer from the “Queen of Fashion,” as she called her.
