- Paola Turbay reigns as one of Latin American's biggest stars while continuing to build and equally powerful presence on the airwaves of the United States. Her multi-faceted career includes working on the big and small screens, both behind and in front of the camera, producing, hosting and acting. According to People en Español, Paola is of the 25 Biggest Crossovers of Latin America. Her shows air in over 25 countries around the world.
Turbay debuted on the series Las Noches de Luciana and the comedy Noticias Calientes both of which were aired throughout Latin America and on Univision's Telefutura channel in the U.S. Her other television credits include Eco Moda, Leche and O Todos en la Cama.
Paola made her U.S. English-language network debut starring as "Isabel Vega" opposite Jimmy Smits on the CBS series Cane (2007), and went on to star on acclaimed shows like Californication, The Closer, The Cleaner, The Secret Life of the American Teenager and True Blood among others. This year she will star opposite Titus Welliver on Amazon's critically acclaimed series Bosch (season 3).
Her film credits include Perder es Cuestión de Método, Mamá Tómate la Sopa, Los Oriyinales and Mike Newell's high-profile feature Love in the Time of Cholera. An avid philanthropist, she co founded IndieBo - Bogota Independent Film Festival - that runs successfully since 2015, bringing the best of independent cinema each year in aims to stimulate Colombia's Orange Economy and democratize culture.
A native of Houston, Texas, raised in Bogota, Colombia, Turbay earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia and attended the Conservatory Program at the Acting Studio in Southern Florida.
