Bonnie Currie
- Actress
Bonnie Currie is an NYC-based neurodivergent actress from Colorado and Vermont, specializing in scrappy and blunt characters who use humor to cover their wounds. Her film Where the Light Enters (2022) won Best Film at the New York Short Film Festival and Best Drama at the New Jersey Film Awards, among other festival successes. In early 2023 she starred in two short films, Sophie On the Hamster Wheel, and Strangers, both premiering on the festival circuits later this year. Her first foray into writing, a gritty comedy pilot (think Shameless meets Girls) recently wrapped production. She studied theatre at CAP21 and has since studied acting with James Calleri and Ted Sluberski, and coached with Seth Caskey. She has an obsession with metallic chrome manicures that adorn her talons. She is Red-Cross certified in backpacking and a former debate team captain, so keep her around for mountain survival skills and witty-yet-well-sourced retorts.
