Peter Thurnwald is a newly emerging Australian actor, director, and producer. Adopted from South Korea as a baby and raised on the Gold Coast, Australia, Peter's school years at Somerset College were focused on academics and sport. Although participating in some school theatre productions, he never considered acting as a full-time profession, so on completion of secondary school, he enrolled and was accepted into the University of Queensland where he studied physics.
However, time crunching numbers at college was short lived. Peter was scouted by a casting agent following his first public performance in 'Flood' by Chris Isaacs at the Gold Coast Arts festival in 2015. This led to a number of featured extra roles, the most notable on King Kong: Skull Island and Thor: Ragnarok. Time on set ignited a passion for acting, so he auditioned for the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2016 and was selected for the Bachelor of Acting, graduating in the Class of 2019.
In 2020, his first year out of acting school, Peter was cast as the honorable and intelligent 'Lachie Koh' on the Stan Original series 'Bump' which became a critical success and gained a large following in Australia. Since then, he has been cast as the prolific world champion known as 'Foresite' in the CBS/Paramount+ League of Legends show, 'Players'.
He now stars in Netflix's 'To All The Boys I've Ever Loved' spin-off, 'XO Kitty' where he plays Alex Finnerty, a young teacher whom is also and adopted South Korean.
Peter has also begun producing his own television series in affiliation with Pathline Pictures and Continuance Pictures.
