The Walt Disney Company has revealed the Disney+ December 2024 release schedule, which includes new Originals, movies, and TV series. The Disney+ streaming service features movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more, alongside exclusive Disney+ Originals.

The December schedule includes Bluey Minisodes, CMA Country Christmas, Doctor Who: Joy to the World, Dunk the Halls, Dream Productions, Elton John: Never Too Late, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, The Simpsons Funday Football, What If…? Season 3, and more.

“Skeleton Crew” tells the story of four kids searching for their home planet after getting lost in the Star Wars galaxy and the strange aliens and dangerous places they encounter on their adventure.

Bluey and Bingo are back on Disney+ this week with seven “Bluey Minisodes” dropping on Monday, Oct. 7. Each one-to-three-minute episode will feature playful interactions and games that deepen viewers’ relationship with the characters and world of “Bluey.” Written by “Bluey” creator Joe Brumm, this is the second batch of three “Bluey Minisodes” releases, the first of which dropped on July 3. ‘Bluey’ Goes Free-To-Air In Japan

Emmy-winning breakout kids series Bluey will go free-to-air in Japan. Episodes of the Australian animated show from Joe Brumm will begin on TV Tokyo’s Eeny Meeny Many Moe’ slot on Saturday, October 26 at 7am local time, following the network’s deal with distributor BBC Studios. The show follows loveable and inexhaustible blue heeler dog Bluey, her younger sister Bingo and their mum and dad who have unpredictable tales in and around their neighborhood. Rei Marumo, General Manager of the Anime Division at TV Tokyo, said the series could become “an important conversation starter for both parents and children.” The Ludo Studios show, originally for the ABC, is the most-streamed series to-date this year in the U.S., with more than 35 billion minutes watched, according to Nielsen. Disney+ has international streaming rights, including in Japan. BBC Studios has also added Japan to its global master toy deal with Moose Toys.

Seven new “Bluey Minisodes” are coming to Disney+ starting Oct. 7. and will air on Disney Jr., Disney Channel and Disney Jr. On Demand throughout the week.

According to an official description, “The collection of one- to three-minute ‘Bluey Minisodes’ is a series of funny and sweet moments featuring Bluey and Bingo, leaning into playful interactions and games that further explore the characters and world of ‘Bluey.'”

There are just three more episodes in the premiere season of Lucasfilm’s latest “Star Wars” series “The Acolyte,” starring Lee Jung-jae and Amandla Stenberg. New episodes will stream every Tuesday through to the season finale on July 16.

Another major property, the international hit children’s series “Bluey,” will have the first of its three batches of planned minisodes from creator Joe Brumm drop during the first week of the month, following the major success of this year’s special “The Sign.”

Many ‘Bluey’ fans have been worried that there won’t be any new content for a while; it seems that ‘Bluey’ will return after all. Disney Branded Television has announced that new mini-episodes or “minisodes” of the show will begin in July on Disney Jr. and Disney+.

Show creator Joe Brumm wrote the new shorter episodes, which were produced by Ludo Studio. Each will be one to three minutes long, and there will be 20 episodes in total.
