Steven Calcote is an award-winning filmmaker who has created ground-breaking film, television, commercial, and web projects for Legendary Entertainment, Sony Pictures, Disney, BBC America, Nickelodeon, HBO, AT&T, Industrial Light & Magic, Sega, Adidas, Electronic Arts, the National Hockey League, Dimension Films, Boeing, Airbnb, and National Geographic.
Recently, he wrote and directed the groundbreaking live interactive science fiction adventure, "Orbital Redux," which was shortlisted for "Outstanding Digital Daytime Drama Series" for the 2019 Daytime Emmys. His high-energy television pilot "The 5th Hour" for Nickelodeon was part of the network's effort to engage new demographics. When the National Hockey League decided to enliven its franchise mascots with new CGI animation, Steven directed comic book legend Stan Lee in a commercial for the Versus network to excite sports fans across the nation.
