Richard Thorp has written extensively for radio and television in
Australia.
In television he has series produced 2 seasons of "The Merrick & Rosso Show" (highest rating show in history of the Comedy Channel) - acting as writer and director and running the show staff as well as running shoots with special guests such as Will Ferrell, Ray Martin, Kate Ritchie, The Veronicas, Brendan Cowell, David Wenham, Peter Helliar and The Wiggles.
He also co-created the Channel Nine smash 20 to 1 and ran the show as Series Producer.
Series producer on second series of "The Power of One" - starring hypnotist Peter Powers.
He was Head Writer on Monster House, heading up a staff of ten writers.
His radio credits include over 1000 episodes of the Andrew Denton Breakfast Show on MMM (Sydney) for hosts Andrew Denton and Amanda Keller, as well as collaborations with Wendy Harmer (on 2Day FM & Vega).
