We all know Trooping The Colour - the queen's official birthday - is the time for pomp and pageantry, for Prince George and Princess Charlotte balcony appearances, and for Kate Middleton to showcase her latest Jane Taylor cocktail hat. But the queen's actual birthday on April 21 is usually a more low-key affair. Low key, yes, but thanks to a very quirky combination of royal duties, she has also had her fair share of weird and wonderful birthday treats - including six thousand singing children, traditional feasting in a remote Korean village, making a solemn vow in the depths of South Africa, and more. Princess Kate began a week of royal outings Monday when she stepped out for a special church service. She and husband Prince William were back at Westminster Abbey, the scene of their 2011 wedding, for a special observance in celebration of the Commonwealth, which Queen Elizabeth II heads. The Commonwealth, a union of 53 nations, some of which have the queen, 88, as head of state, is dear to the heart of the monarch. So it was especially poignant that she invited William and Kate to the service, which was also attended by William's father Prince Charles, 66, and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Prince George couldn't contain his excitement during the baby's first Easter Sunday celebration at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia. Dressed casually in a blue striped polo and shorts, the little royal looked in awe at George, the bilby, a rabbit-like creature who is his namesake, as Kate Middleton and Prince William took turns doting on him. Donning a yellow dress, the duchess tried her best to hold George back from the endangered animal's enclosure while still letting him score a close-up view. The cutest moment came when Will tried to calm George with a sweet kiss on his head. Even before the family created adorable memories at the park, the zoo already held a special meaning for the royals: when George was born last July, Australia's government made a donation in his honor to fund the zoo's efforts to preserve and restore wildlife. Nearly nine months later, the bilby enclosure was named after him!

Prince William and Kate Middleton are making the most of the hectic royal tour schedule this weekend, bringing their infectious energy to everything from sporting events to church. On Sunday, the couple popped up at the rugby stadium in Dunedin, New Zealand, where they cheered on children playing a game of Rippa Rugby, a noncontact version of the sport. William got in on the game, taking the field as Kate watched from the sidelines in jeans and a sweater. Earlier in the day, the couple attended a Palm Sunday service at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul after their picture-perfect arrival at the airport in Dunedin, kicking off a two-day trip with smiles and waves. For her first ensemble on day seven of the royal tour, Kate chose an aquamarine dress and matching hat by, respectively, New Zealand designers Emilia Wickstead and Jane Taylor. The duchess debuted the ensemble as...

The Duchess is on a divine style roll — and she’s showing off her favorite designers in the process! Just a day after debuting her stunning look for Prince George’s christening, she made yet another breathtaking appearance — can you believe she gave birth a mere three months ago?
I must admit that when it comes to Kate Middleton‘s style, she can do no wrong in my book — and that’s partially due to the fact that we share an affinity for lovely British designer Jenny Packham and her feminine creations. Kate stepped out on Oct. 24 in London for the 100 Women In Hedge Funds Gala Dinner in Aid of Action on Addiction where she opted for an ethereal, off-the-shoulder ink blue, silk tulle gown from Jenny Packham’s Fall 2013 collection. The dress, which featured a velvet belt, also had a lower neckline than we’re used to seeing on...

Today is a big day for Prince George. The son of Kate Middleton and Prince William took part in his first royal event as he was christened at St. James's Palace in London in front of an intimate group of royals and family friends. While the christening is traditionally a private, family affair, we've gathered up details about the landmark event for the future King of England. The Godparents The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced the seven - yes, seven - godparents for Prince George just a few hours before their son's christening. They include: Zara Tindall, William's cousin and daughter of Princess Anne. Oliver Baker, one of William and Kate's college friends from St Andrews. Emilia Jardine-Paterson, one of Kate's school friends from Marlborough College. Earl Grosvenor, a family friend and the son of the Duke of Westminster. At 22, he is the youngest of the godparents. Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton,...

Something tells us the Middleton sisters may have done a bit of coordinating for Prince George's christening. At the ceremony in London on Wednesday not only did Kate Middleton opt for a cream Alexander Mcqueen coat dress that matched her three-month-old son's iconic gown but her younger sibling Pippa Middleton also showed up in the exact same shade and an nearly identical outfit. Both ladies also donned matching floral fascinators but Pippa's was designed by Edwina Ibbotson while Kate's was a Jane Taylor creation. And while Pippa was indeed wearing a British designer—just like the new mom—she went with a Trapeze coat and Paris dress specially created by Suzannah Crabb. It should...

The Duchess looked divine in Alexander McQueen for her son’s special day, where she opted for an appropriate yet chic outfit for the christening — and she selected the very same designer who crafted her iconic wedding dress! Do you love Kate’s look? Vote.
Kate Middleton looked nothing short of stunning when she arrived at St. James’ Palace on Oct. 23 for the christening of her 3-month old son, Prince George. While the 31-year-old royal often loves to recycle her outfits, on this occasion she broke out a brand new designer ensemble for the occasion — and it was perfect for the big day!
Kate Middleton’s Christening Dress:
While everyone is going gaga for Kate’s adorable little son, I’m more stunned by Kate’s amazing outfit for the special day — and I must confess that I couldn’t wait to see what she was going to wear! The...

We're beyond positive she didn't mean to but let's be honest: Kate Middleton has stolen the spotlight once again (Sorry, Prince George!). At the royal christening ceremony Wednesday at St. James Palace chapel in London, the Duchess of Cambridge was the picture of elegance in an ruffled Alexander McQueen jacket. The cream ensemble closely matched the color of the wee Prince's own robe. Kate's look, however, came with a matching Jane Taylor fascinator—one of her favorite accessories. The last time we saw the brunette beauty she opted for a much more casual look while visiting a SportsAid charity event in London last Friday. A J Brand skinny jeans and navy Smythe blazer combo,...

A big day for little Prince George. Lightly jiggled in his father's arms, the 3-month-old looked slightly perplexed at the attention as his parents, Prince William and Kate, greeted clergy at the doors of the baby's special christening service. Led by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, the 35-minute, private ceremony started at 3 p.m. London time (10 a.m. Et) at the Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace. Shortly after her arrival with Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth spoke with William and Kate, with smiles all around. Kate - in an Alexander McQueen outfit and nude-and-ivory Jane Taylor hat - greeted...
