The 2024 Tribeca Festival has added 11 new feature films to its lineup — including a Hannah Einbinder standup special from Max — and has also set a world premiere of Michael Sarnoski’s A Quiet Place: Day One on June 26 in partnership with Paramount Pictures and Imax just ahead of the film’s theatrical release. The red carpet event is for Tribeca members as part of the organization’s push into year-round programming. It’s after the festival, which runs June 5-16.

The 2024 Tribeca Festival has just unveiled new additions to its already star-studded lineup.

IndieWire can confirm that the New York premiere of “A Quiet Place: Day One” will take place as part of the festival, which runs June 5 through 16. The film will have a special screening June 26 in partnership with Paramount Pictures in IMAX.

The festival, presented by Okx, announced the addition of 11 new feature films, including eight world premieres. Documentaries “Federer: Twelve Final Days” and “Elizabeth Taylor: The Lost Tapes,” produced by J.J. Abrams, are among the highlights, plus Dawn Porter’s “Power of the Dream.”

Hannah Einbinder’s first-ever stand-up comedy special “Hannah Einbinder: Everything Must Go” will also have its world premiere at the festival.

Exclusive: Togethxr, the media company founded by star atheletes Alex Morgan, Chloe Kim, Simone Manuel, and Sue Bird as well as Jessica Robertson, has a new head of development.

The company has hired former Westbrook Media head of development Tina Tozzi in the role.

Tozzi will oversee the company’s scripted and unscripted slate. She had a similar role at Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s company, and before that was director of development at Alfred Street Industries, where she developed series such as Netflix’s Is it Cake? and Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo and Hulu’s Best in Dough.

Togethxr is behind series such as Surf Girls: Kaikana, a docuseries produced in partnership with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and Prime Video, and The Syd and Tp Show, an unscripted comedy series in partnership with Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort and FuboTV.

Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort, an ad-support streaming channel, has launched its fall slate including an unscripted series featuring WNBA players Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance.

The duo are to star in The Syd + Tp Show, written by Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola, which sees the World Champions and bench warming besties Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance determined to become the faces of the WNBA, despite the fact no one asked them to. This buddy comedy series follows Syd and Tp on their quest to become the most famous basketball players on earth through a mix of stunts, interviews, hijinks and a complete lack of shame.

The series will launch on September 18.

It is co-produced by Maximum Effort and Fubo, which run the channel together, and Togethxr, which was set up by athletes Alex Morgan, Chloe Kim, Simone Manuel and Sue Bird.

The streamer has dropped a trailer for Surf Girls Hawaii, a four-part docuseries produced by Hello Sunshine in partnership with Togethxr.

Premiering July 18, Surf Girls Hawaii follows the next generation of Native Hawaiian female surfers as they compete to earn a coveted spot on the professional surfing World Tour. The four-parter offers a behind the scenes look at five young stars – Moana Jones Wong, Ewe Wong, Maluhia Kinimaka, Pua DeSoto, and Brianna Cope – as they train, navigate family responsibilities, and compete against the highest-ranking surfers in the world to get to the top of the podium.

It’s back to the “Futurama!” The trailer has been released for Season 11 of the animated futuristic sitcom. After a decade, the series has defrosted for 10 new episodes which will be added to Hulu on July 24.

Season 11 features “a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV,” said the show’s official synopsis.

New New York will feature the voices of John Dimaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice Lamarche, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamarr and David Herman. “Futurama” was created by Matt Groening and is executive produced by Groening, Cohen, Ken Keeler and Claudia Katz.

World-renowned athletes Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe have launched A Touch More, a new production company that centers the stories of revolutionaries who “move culture forward.”

Bird, a five-time Olympic gold medalist and basketball legend, and Rapinoe, a two-time FIFA World Cup-winning soccer superstar, created the company to “bring a touch more understanding, connection, entertainment, and conversation to the evolving media landscape” by amplifying narratives around identity, activism and underrepresented communities, including LGBTQ people, Poc and women.

Famous for their game-changing abilities both on and off the playing field, the pair of star athletes and engaged couple are all too aware of the status quo in sports, which is why they’re fighting to shake things up. Fox Nation is launching the 10-part reality series “Duck Family Treasure,” a spinoff of A&e’s “Duck Dynasty,” this June, Jason Klarman, president of the platform said Wednesday.

The Duck Dynasty clan is spreading its wings again. Jase and Jep Robertson, the sons of patriarch Phil Robertson, will star in Duck Family Treasure for Fox Nation this June.

The unscripted show will follow the siblings as they hunt for buried treasure alongside their Uncle Si and historian Murry Crowe. Here’s the official logline: “Each episode will feature the Robertson family as they search for precious treasures, rare artifacts, and hidden gems. Throughout their journey, the Robertsons will also showcase the people, places, and lessons they encounter along the way. Alex Morgan and Sue Bird will revisit the 1996 Summer Olympic Games for the six-part documentary podcast Summer of Gold. The Olympic athletes will executive produce the audio title for Togethxr with Dear Media.

Hailing from Togethxr, a women and girl-driven media and commerce company founded by Morgan, Bird, Chloe Kim and Simone Manuel; Summer of Gold will explore how the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta marked a monumental year for women’s sports. The podcast series will highlight the Magnificent Seven, the first wave of Title IX athletes entering the games, the USA women’s basketball, soccer and softball teams all taking home the gold, and David Stern founding the WNBA.

Summer of Gold comes at the 25th anniversary of the game-changing sporting event and will launch in the late Spring. Morgan and Bird will executive produce and participate in the series, which is the first narrative miniseries for Dear Media.
