In 1975, opened a small fashion boutique in Munich. The business was apparently unsuccessful, since, two years later she made a living translating English and French books into German.
Schooled in Innsbruck where she also debuted on the stage. She was discovered by Austrian film producer Peter Ostermayer, who cast her in and her first film in 1950.
