- Founded his own company Els Films de la Rambla, S.A. in 1985.
- Since 1995 he has chosen to adapt dramatic and comic texts of Catalan writers like Quim Monzó (What's It All About (1995), Mil cretins (2011)), Josep Maria Benet i Jornet (Actresses (1997), Beloved/Friend (1999)), Sergi Belbel (Caresses (1998), To Die (or Not) (2000), Forasters (2008)), Lluís-Anton Baulenas (Anita no perd el tren (2001), Idiot Love (2004), A la deriva (2009)), Jordi Puntí (Wounded Animals (2006)), Ferran Torrent (Life in the Abyss (2007)) and Lluïsa Cunillé (Barcelona (A Map) (2007)).
- Work as a theatre director for a decade before he filmed his first movie in 1977.
