Maya Plisetskaya is a Soviet and Russian ballerina, choreographer, film actress.
The representative of the theater dynasty Messerer-Plisetskikh, prima ballerina of the Bolshoy Theater of the USSR in 1948-1990. People's Artist of the USSR (1959). Full holder of the Order of Merit to the Fatherland. She is considered one of the greatest ballet dancers of the 20th century.
