Williams, Fetherston, Kerr and Lopes will portray the royal family of the kingdom of Andor. Andor is the largest, most populous, and most influential country within the heart of the Westlands, the fictional land depicted in Robert Jordan’s epic fantasy book series on which the television series is based.

“The Wheel of Time” Season 3 has assembled the remainder of House Trakand with Olivia Williams at the head.

Williams – who is currently appearing on HBO’s “Dune: Prophecy” – has been cast as Morgase Trakand, the Queen of Andor and mother to Elayne (Ceara Coveney). Queen Morgase sits on the throne of Andor, a seat she didn’t inherit through succession but rather won it through political savvy and ruthlessness against a handful of political rivals when the country was left without an heir. Rather than become a tyrant after her victory, Morgase is considered one of the greatest rulers in Andor’s history.

For more than a year, rumors have swirled that Shohreh Aghdashloo, the actor who played foul-mouthed politician Crisjen Avasarala for six seasons on The Expanse, was joining the cast of Prime Video's fantasy show The Wheel of Time in a major role. Now at last, we have confirmation from the source itself. The official Wheel of Time X account announced today that Aghdashloo will play Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan, an Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah who is one of the key figures at the White Tower in Robert Jordan's book series.

The Prime Video series has added Emmy winner Shohreh Aghdashloo to its cast. In The Wheel of Time‘s third season, due in March, Aghdashloo (The Expanse, House of Sand and Fog) will play Elaida do Avriny a’Roihan, an important character in the fantasy novels by Robert Jordan on which the series is based.

Elaida is described as “a ruthlessly powerful Aes Sedai as proficient in politicking as she is in channeling. She has a deep history with Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) and Siuan (Sophie Okonedo), and scores to settle with both of them when she returns to the White Tower. Elaida is someone who believes in ends over means, and is willing to do anything to achieve what she envisions to be the greater good.”

Aghdashloo will play Elaida do Avriny a’Roihan, a powerful member of the Aes Sedai sisterhood. Last week, the 53-year-old actor filmed alongside co-star Rosamund Pike for the scene, which took place in London, England.

According to THR, Ladies First “follows a womanizer who gets a shock when he is suddenly living in a world dominated by women, with an opinionated female counterpart adding to the complications.”

It is a remake of the 2018 French film Je Ne Suis Pas Un Homme Facile, which translates to I Am Not an Easy Man.

The film will debut on Netflix and is being described as a romantic comedy from director Thea Sharrock. There’s no release date set at this time, but stay tuned!

Prime Video has released the first footage from the upcoming third season of The Wheel of Time via an exciting teaser trailer, while also announcing that the fantasy adventure series is set to return to our screens on March 13, 2025.

In the promo, we see Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) attempt to come to terms with the prophecy that will claim either her life or that of Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski), who may hold the future of humanity in his hands as the Dragon Reborn.

Season 3 will be primarily based on the fourth book in Robert Jordan's series, The Shadow Rising, which finds Rand and his companions travelling to the Aiel Waste in an attempt to win over its people to their cause.

“The first 15 minutes of Season 3 is one of the most bonkers set pieces I’ve ever seen on television,” said executive producer Rafe Judkins in a recent interview.

“The Wheel of Time” will be back for it’s third season in a few short months.

Announced during Ccxp 24 in São Paulo, Brazil, a teaser trailer and accompanying art revealed the third season of Prime Video’s fantasy series lands on March 13, 2025. The teaser also teased bleak things ahead for Rosamund Pike’s Moiraine.

“I have seen a thousand thousand futures,” she says in the teaser. “In every future where I lived, Rand dies. And the only way he lives is if I don’t.”

The fantasy series follows Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski) as he learns he’s the Dragon Reborn – a figure from legend who is constantly reincarnated and whose reappearance means he can either save the world or break it.

“The world is changing,” the teaser continues. “Who knows how deep the shadow’s roots have taken hold here.”

That's about to change. Several cast members are heading to the 2024 Comic Con Experience in Brazil this weekend, where they're expected to pull back the curtain on season 3. British director Guy Ritchie was set to release two films in 2025, but things are less certain now given that the first of those two releases, In The Grey, has been removed from its January release slot by Lionsgate.

Ritchie wrote and directed the thriller, while the cast features Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza Gonzalez, Carlos Bardem, Fisher Stevens, Jason Wong, and Rosamund Pike. Two extraction specialists (played by Cavill and Gyllenhaal) must designate a route of escape for a senior female negotiator (Gonzalez). It was shot in the Canary Islands last year.

John Krasinski and Matthew Rhys are set to executive produce and star in “Silent River,” a new psychological thriller ordered by Amazon MGM Studios for Prime Video.

According to the official logline, the project, which is seen through the lens of two men whose lives are far more more connected than they realize, explores the cracks of small-town America in the wake of discovering a serial killer among them.

“Silent River” is created by Aaron Rabin, who serves as an executive producer. In addition to Krasinski, Rhys and Rabin, Allyson Seeger and Alexa Ginsburg will executive produce for Sunday Night. Krasinski is set to direct the show’s pilot and some additional episodes. Andrew Bernstein is also set to direct and executive produce.

In addition to the series order, Sunday Night has renewed its first-look television deal with Amazon MGM Studios.

The project comes from Krasinski and Allyson Seeger’s Sunday Night whose first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios has been extended.
