Armie Hammer recalled his working experience with one director who produced great thrillers with the likes of Brad Pitt. David Fincher is often labeled as a perfectionist on his film sets and he can be pretty difficult to work with at times. Hammer shared that working with Fincher was very scary because of the director’s exceptional filmmaking skills.

For all the shortcomings that the now-defunct Dceu sustained, one thing that Zack Snyder mostly got right was the casting, whether it be Henry Cavill’s Superman or Ben Affleck’s Batman. Interestingly, like most Batman actors, Affleck wasn’t initially seen as a good choice for the Caped Crusader, and even though his version of the character left a lot to be desired on the physical front, the actor nailed the role overall.

However, his stint as Bruce Wayne doesn’t come close to the actor’s casting in one of the most beloved crime thrillers of the last decade, as fans can’t get over his uncanny resemblance to the real-life inspiration for his character.

“The Wheel of Time” Season 3 has assembled the remainder of House Trakand with Olivia Williams at the head.
Williams – who is currently appearing on HBO’s “Dune: Prophecy” – has been cast as Morgase Trakand, the Queen of Andor and mother to Elayne (Ceara Coveney). Queen Morgase sits on the throne of Andor, a seat she didn’t inherit through succession but rather won it through political savvy and ruthlessness against a handful of political rivals when the country was left without an heir. Elon Musk, who seems to consider himself a comedian, has opined that “The most entertaining outcome is the most likely.”
So it seemed reasonable to ask Grok, the artificial-intelligence chatbot from Musk’s xAI startup that last month became public to all users on X (née Twitter): Who would be the most hilarious actor to portray Elon Musk in your opinion?
The answer from Grok: Sacha Baron Cohen, the British comedic actor known for “Borat,” “Brüno” and his Ali G rude-boy character. One reason, according to the AI bot, is the surprise factor: Casting Baron Cohen “would be unexpected in a way that would generate buzz. Fans might not see it coming, and the contrast between Cohen’s usual characters and Musk’s tech mogul persona could provide a comedic goldmine,” Grok said.
Last year came news that a biopic of Musk, to be directed by filmmaker Darren Aronofsky...

Season 3 of "The Wheel of Time" is officially right around the corner, and Prime Video has unleashed the darkness through a whirlwind of announcements. The official kickoff of the promotional campaign for the third season of the Robert Jordan adaptation came on Saturday, December 7 at CCXP24 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The studio revealed that season 3 (which was announced over two years ago) will premiere on March 13, 2025. The season 2 finale aired on October 6, 2023, putting 17 months between the two. Like the previous two seasons of "The Wheel of Time," season 3 is slated to be eight episodes long.
Prime Video also revealed a brand new trailer for the upcoming season that clocks in at just over a minute. The footage is jam-packed with exciting shots from the upcoming season, with one theme standing out above everything else: for a show that explores both good and evil, this thing is about to get a whole lot darker.

Prime Video is ready to give another turn to The Wheel of Time.
The Amazon-owned streamer has set a March 13 premiere date for the fantasy drama’s third season. Prime Video also released a first teaser for the coming season at São Paulo’s CCXP24 convention.
In the teaser (watch it below), Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) warns that she has seen “a thousand thousand futures” — and that there are none in which both she and Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski), the young man who may hold the future of humanity in his hands as the Dragon Reborn, survive.
Prime Video’s description for season three of The Wheel of Time reads, “The threats against the Light are multiplying: The White Tower stands divided, the Black Ajah run free, old enemies return to the Two Rivers, and the remaining Forsaken are in hot pursuit of the Dragon … including Lanfear (Natasha O’Keeffe), whose...

The Dragon Reborn is ready to ride! Today at the Ccxp entertainment convention in Sao Paulo, Prime Video unveiled the long-awaited trailer for The Wheel of Time‘s third season and confirmed its March 13, 2025 return. As you can see above, the teaser offers a slew of begging-to-be-screengrabbed peeks at how the world has changed since Rand (Josha Stradowski) ascended to his prophesied role as the one person who can either save the world or end it. Still clearly torn between his old life and new powers, Rand’s guardian Moiraine (the tremendous Rosamund Pike) and old friend Egwene (Madeleine Madden) have emerged as his two strongest assets, yet there’s also the lingering draw toward his deceptive ex, Lanfear (Natasha O’Keefe). We also get shots of Rand’s heroic pals Mat (Dónal Finn), Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) and Nynaeve (Zoë Robins); Moiraine’s hotter-than-hell warder, Lan (Daniel Henney); her traitorous...

Luca Guadagnino‘s steamy, intoxicating love triangle “Challengers” between Mike Faist, Josh O’Connor, and Zendaya had audiences gripped this past spring. The film became a surprise financial success, earning just shy of $100 million at the worldwide box office. Now, with the Golden Globes nominations just around the corner on Monday, Dec. 9, “Challengers” is once again in the conversation, but there’s one actor we might be underestimating. Here are five reasons why Josh O’Connor will be nominated for Best Film Supporting Actor against the odds.
He’ll be carried along by support for his film
Gold Derby’s odds currently predict that “Challengers” will be nominated in three categories: Best Film Comedy/Musical, Best Film Comedy/Musical Actress (Zendaya), and Best Score (Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross). Meanwhile, O’Connor is on the bubble in the Best Film Supporting Actor race. He currently sits in ninth place with the...

Season 3 of the live-action fantasy TV series "The Wheel of Time", starring Rosamund Pike, based on the best-selling books by Robert Jordan, streams in 2025 on Amazon Prime Video:
"...in the beginning, humble farm boy 'Rand al'Thor' (Josha Stradowski), learns he is 'The Dragon Reborn' - a dangerous figure from history destined to save the world ... or break it.
"Desperate to protect him from the 'Dark One', an army of powerful sorceresses must reckon with his burgeoning power and encroaching madness. 'The Wheel of Time' turns, and the 'Last Battle' approaches. Though Rand thought he destroyed the Dark One, evil is not gone from the world.
"In Season Two, threats new and very old seek out the young friends from the 'Two Rivers'...
"...now scattered over the world.
"The woman who found and guided them is now powerless to help, and so they must find other sources of strength.

The second season of The Wheel of Time, based on Robert Jordan's epic book series, aired on Prime Video last year. Filming on season 3 has been done for a long while, but we've heard very little from Amazon about what's coming.
That's about to change. Several cast members are heading to the 2024 Comic Con Experience in Brazil this weekend, where they're expected to pull back the curtain on season 3. To whet our appeties, the official Wheel of Time account on X/Twitter just revealed the first poster for the new season. Behold!

The ending is the most important part of a movie. It is what creates the effects and emotions the audience is left with. Some endings imprint themselves on viewers’ minds and some continue to amaze audiences no matter how much time has passed.
Movies with cliffhangers and shocking endings that keep the audience on the edge of their seats are hard to come by. With their twisted narratives and layered plotlines, these movies make the viewers question what they think they know. They progress subtly, until the final jaw-dropping scene changes everything and has one thinking about it for days.
The ultimate element of surprise can truly make or break a film. Sometimes, a movie’s performance can be judged on how impactfully it leaves one stunned. Hence, here is a list of movies that can potentially leave one scratching their heads; ranked from better to best.

Lionsgate has removed Guy Ritchie thriller In The Grey from its scheduled late January 2025 release slot and has yet to give the film a new date.
British director Guy Ritchie was set to release two films in 2025, but things are less certain now given that the first of those two releases, In The Grey, has been removed from its January release slot by Lionsgate.
Ritchie wrote and directed the thriller, while the cast features Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza Gonzalez, Carlos Bardem, Fisher Stevens, Jason Wong, and Rosamund Pike. Two extraction specialists (played by Cavill and Gyllenhaal) must designate a route of escape for a senior female negotiator (Gonzalez). It was shot in the Canary Islands last year.
The stated reason for the film’s delay (per Deadline) is a simple one: it isn’t finished. Ritchie has been exceedingly prolific in the last couple of years, delivering two films...

Such was the love for Hugh Grant’s devilishly splendid antagonist Phoenix Buchanan in “Paddington 2″ that the actor was rewarded with a BAFTA best supporting actor nomination. While practically everyone acknowledged it was richly deserved (not least for his unforgettable prison dance as the credits rolled), it was no small feat for a family comedy led by a CGI bear. The other nominees in that category that year were for the distinctly less PG “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” “All the Money in the World” and “The Florida Project.”
“Paddington in Peru” — the long-awaited third film in StudioCanal’s hugely successful Paddington franchise — may not have generated quite the same level of critical acclaim as the second (widely regarding as a masterpiece and therefore difficult to top). But Olivia Colman has stepped into Grant’s tap-dancing shoes as the new casting addition (and a potential baddie) in style.

The horror thriller genre is one of the few that can pull you to the edge of your seat and keep you there. There is just enough psychological tension to make you double-check the locks at night; it’s the ideal combination of suspense and fear. These best horror thriller movies aren’t just about jump scares; they’re also about mind games that keep your heart pounding long after the credits roll. That’s the trick with horror thrillers: they stick to your skin.
From Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho – the O.G., we all got shower paranoia over to more recent gems like Hereditary; these movies grip us with razor-sharp plots and wickedly clever turns. And let’s be honest: we love the rush. The best horror thrillers feel like a haunted house in the movies, pulling you through the dark hallways of fear and making you face the unknown.

Plus, he’s shooting two more series this year – Young Sherlock for Prime Video and the all-star The Associates for Paramount Plus. Now, we can add one more movie to his slate for next year – Wife & Dog, which is set to star Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike and Anthony Hopkins.
