- Françoise Mallet-Joris was born on July 6, 1930 in Antwerp, Belgium. She was a writer and actress, known for Le travail c'est la liberté (1959), Le gigolo (1960) and Le rempart des Béguines (1972). She was married to Jacques Delfau, Alain Joxe and Robert Amadou. She died on August 13, 2016 in Bry-sur-Marne, Val-de-Marne, France.

- Born in a family of lawyers, she became a writer of about thirty books and received the Femina prize in 1969.She became a member of the académie Goncourt in 1970. She was also elected in 1993 to the Belgian Royal Academy.
